Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for my wife’s health for her, for protection for ###, for financial favor and a cost effective solution to my car issue, and against lustful thoughts

We join with you in thanking our Lord for His goodness, for His steadfast love endures forever and His mercies are new every morning. We praise Him with you for His kindness toward you and your household.

We bring before the Lord your request for good rest. We pray that He will grant you peaceful and restorative sleep, for it is He who gives sleep to His beloved. As it is written in Psalm 127:2, for he gives sleep to his loved ones, and in Psalm 4:8, I will both lay myself down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. We ask the Lord to quiet your mind and body and to guard your heart through the night.

We lift up your wife to the Lord and pray for her health and strength. We ask our Great Physician to touch her body, to heal what is afflicted and to sustain her with His grace. We pray as in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, and we remember the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask that He will be her comfort and strength each day.

We also lift up the loved one you mentioned for protection, whose name was redacted for privacy. We ask the Lord to place His hedge of protection around this person, to keep them from harm and to let no evil come near them. We claim Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust, and Psalm 121:7-8, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.

We bring your financial needs and your car issue before the Father. We know He cares about every practical concern of His children, and we ask Him to provide financial favor and to open the door to a cost effective and honest solution for this repair. We trust in His provision as promised in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and we seek first His Kingdom as in Matthew 6:33, But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We pray for wisdom, favor with those who can help, and peace as you trust Him to provide.

We also join you in praying against lustful thoughts, and we commend you for bringing this struggle into the light before the Lord, for that is where victory is found. The Word is clear that lust begins in the heart and mind, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28, but I tell you, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. We are called to flee from sexual immorality in 1 Corinthians 6:18, Flee sexual immorality, and to take every thought captive in 2 Corinthians 10:5, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We encourage you to guard your eyes and mind as Job declared in Job 31:1, I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman, and to fill your mind with what is pure as in Philippians 4:8, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, think about these things. We pray that the Lord will strengthen you to turn quickly from temptation, to renew your mind daily in His Word, and to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, for in 1 Corinthians 10:13 we are assured that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. If you are married, we rejoice that you are honoring your marriage covenant, for marriage between a man and a woman is holy before God and the proper place for sexual intimacy, and honoring your wife in thought and deed is part of that covenant.

We notice you addressed your prayer to the Lord, and we want to gently encourage you to remember that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, and in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus, through His shed blood and resurrection, that our prayers are heard and our sins forgiven. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, confessing your need for Him and believing that God raised Him from the dead.

We pray together now. Father, we thank You for Your goodness to our brother. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You grant him deep and peaceful rest, that You lay Your healing hand upon his wife and restore her health, that You set Your protection around his loved one and keep them safe from all harm, that You provide for his financial needs and guide him to a fair and affordable solution for his car, and that You give him victory over lustful thoughts by the power of Your Holy Spirit, cleansing his mind and making his thoughts obedient to Christ. Help him to walk in purity, integrity, and faithfulness to You and to his marriage. We ask all these things in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and intercessor, amen.

We appreciate your thankful heart and the way you brought so many cares to the Lord at once, your own need for rest, your wife's health, protection for your loved one, the pressure of finances and the car repair, and the battle with lustful thoughts. We are carrying all of that with you in prayer.

For the struggle with lustful thoughts, isolation makes it much harder. What has helped many is not trying to fight alone but inviting steady accountability. If you don't already have it, consider asking one trusted, same-sex friend or pastor to be someone you can be honest with week to week, someone who can ask you how you are really doing. It also helps to plan ahead when you are clear-headed, noticing when you are most vulnerable, removing what trips you up, and deciding in advance what you will do instead, rather than waiting until temptation is strong.

We are also praying for your wife's health and for your rest, and we encourage you to stay in touch with good medical care for both of you alongside prayer. And we understand how heavy a car repair can feel when finances are tight.

Father, we thank You for this brother and his gratitude for Your goodness. We ask You to grant him deep, restoring rest, to watch over his wife and bring her strength and health, to keep safe the one he named for protection, and to provide wisdom and a truly cost effective solution for the car. Give him grace and strength to turn from lustful thoughts and to walk in purity, and surround him with trustworthy support. Guide him day by day, in Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in giving thanks for the goodness of the Lord, for every good gift comes from His hand, and it is well to begin prayer with thanksgiving. Your requests are heard and we bring them before the throne of grace together.

We pray that the Lord will grant you good rest. He gives sleep to His beloved, and rest is among the leaves of that healing tree whose virtue is in Christ. May He quiet your body and your mind, and cause you to lie down in peace, for you are kept by His watchful care through the night.

For your wife we ask the healing touch of the Great Physician. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in His fruit but in His leaves, the least thing about Christ is healing. We have read that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. May the Lord who said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, bring pardon and healing together to her, and preserve her in health according to His wise and tender will.

For protection we plead the promise that you shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, and that in answer to the daily prayer, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the Evil One, you shall be preserved from all the devices of the devil, for that Evil One touches you not. May the Lord encamp about you and your household and keep you in all your ways.

For your financial need and the burden of the car, we ask that the Lord who knows what you have need of before you ask Him, will grant you favor and wisdom, and open a cost effective path that is honest and good stewardship. He is able to provide streams of healing and help from that great conduit head, Christ Jesus, from whom abundant mercies flow down to men below.

And concerning lustful thoughts, we pray earnestly with you, for you have prayed well. Scripture teaches that when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, rest assured of that. Yet temptation itself, though it be dangerous and perilous, may become a trial from God's side for your proving and strengthening, even as Job was tried. Our Lord has taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, and that prayer is not left optional. We make it ours, saying, Oh, save me from the mischief of the temptation. Let me not stain my garments. Let me not slip nor slide, but may I stand fast at the end of the day.

Take heed then to never go into temptation. The one who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it speaks falsely before God. Flee from that which would inflame lust, turn the eye and the foot aside, and seek the healing and purity which Christ gives. Charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Walk in the way of holiness, and look to Jesus for strength to overcome, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

May the Lord hear your cry, forgive your sins, heal your infirmities, supply your needs, guard your home, and keep you in purity and uprightness for His name's sake.
