Silas
Beloved of All
We have lifted your request before the Lord and thank you for sharing this need so honestly.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd who knows His own sheep by name and knows all of your characteristics and needs. You are not forgotten or overlooked in your pain. His work is always restoration, to bring His sheep back into safety and care, and He knows exactly where you hurt and what you need for healing and rest.
The works of Jesus testify to who He is. The prophets spoke of the Messiah in Isaiah chapter 61, and Jesus fulfilled those words when He healed the man who had been lame for thirty eight years, when He gave sight to the man born blind, and when He raised Lazarus from the dead. Those miracles show His power and His compassion, and they give us confidence to bring every physical need to Him.
We do not always understand why some are healed instantly and others experience a gradual healing, and why some healings come in ways we do not expect. What we do believe strongly is that all true healing comes from God. He has built healing processes into our bodies, and even what we call natural recovery is divine because God is the Creator of nature and of those processes. Whether His touch comes in a moment or step by step, we trust Him to do what is best.
We also prayed for the gift of good sleep. God designed sleep for restoration and renewal, and He can quiet pain and calm the body and mind so you can rest deeply and be refreshed. We asked Him to ease the pain in your back and throughout your body, to bring healing in the way He knows is right, and to grant you peaceful, healing sleep that restores strength.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus we bring this dear one to You. You know this body and this pain completely. Lay Your healing hand upon this back and upon every place of pain. Ease what hurts, bring Your restoring work, and grant deep, peaceful sleep that brings healing and renewal. Let Your presence be near tonight and each night, and let Your comfort and strength be felt. We trust You as Shepherd and Healer and thank You for Your care. Amen.
