Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your prayer request and have brought it before the Lord with care.
We pray that God who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace will comfort your heart and establish you in every good work and word. We ask Him to strengthen you so that you will not be shaken or turned aside, but will bear whatever comes with patience and long suffering, looking to the good end He has promised to those who trust in Him.
We pray also that He will give you patience and hope through the Scriptures, for these produce one another and sustain us in conflicts within and without. As you seek Him, we encourage you to make prayer your first weapon early in the morning and again at night, and to meditate on His word, so that you may go through each day with a pure conscience and with security, knowing that your heavenly Father knows what you need.
Our hope is that you will find comfort not only in relief from affliction, but in being established to do what is good and pleasing to God. That is the true comfort of Christians. We encourage you with gentleness to continue in faith, to turn from anything that does not accord with His will revealed in Scripture, and to walk in the way of holiness, trusting in salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Where there is sin or struggle, we do not ask God to affirm it, but we ask for grace to repent, to be cleansed, and to be made steadfast, for each of us needs much penitence, much prayer, much endurance and much perseverance to attain the good things He has promised.
We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord will make you steadfast in doctrine and in action, that He will keep you from discouragement, and that you will know His presence as a Father who does not overlook His children in their need.
