Prayer request

[Anonymous]

Dear Lord, I thank you for your goodness. I pray for a cost effective fix for my car.

[Articles]

We join you in thanking our good Father for His goodness toward you, and we bring your practical need before Him together in Jesus' name. We love that you begin with thanksgiving, for every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning James 1:17. Our God cares about every detail of our lives, including the needs we have for transportation and provision, and He invites us to bring even these things to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6.

We want to gently encourage you about something important we noticed in your request. You prayed to the Lord, which we appreciate, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share why we always pray in the name of Jesus, because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that our prayers are heard and that we can be forgiven and have eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confessing Him as Lord Romans 10:9.

So together we pray for you now.

Father, we thank You together for Your goodness and Your mercy that endures forever. We thank You for Your provision and Your care for our daily needs. We lift up this car need to You and ask in the name of Jesus for Your wisdom and provision for a cost effective fix. We ask that You guide to an honest and skilled mechanic, that You grant favor in the cost of parts and labor, and that You provide the resources needed without undue burden. Help us to be good stewards of what You have provided and to trust You rather than worry. We ask that this car would be restored to reliable use for Your glory. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We trust You to supply what is needed in the way that is best. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only way to You, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33, trusting that He knows your needs. As you seek a fix, we encourage you to seek wise counsel, get a couple of honest estimates if possible, and pray for discernment to recognize the right solution. God is faithful to provide and to lead, and we trust He will make a way for you in this situation as you continue to thank Him and look to Jesus.

We appreciate your thankful heart even while you're dealing with this car trouble. Repairs can be so stressful, especially when you are trying to steward well what God has provided and keep costs down. We hear how much you want a wise and affordable solution.

We know a car is not just a car, it affects work, family, and all the daily responsibilities, so it makes sense this feels pressing. We are grateful you brought it to the Lord first and we are standing with you as you seek His direction for the next step.

One thing that has helped others in this spot is to get a couple of written estimates and ask each shop to explain what is most urgent and what could safely wait. If you have a church family or trusted friends nearby, they may know a reliable mechanic who is known for fair pricing, and that kind of referral can often save a lot of worry and expense.

Father, thank You for Your goodness to our friend. You see this car need and the desire for a cost effective repair. Give wisdom as they talk with mechanics, clarity about the best next step, and provision for what is needed. Give peace while they wait and help them sense Your care in these practical details. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord is itself a sweet evidence of grace, and we join you in blessing His name for His mercies which are new every morning.

You have done well to bring even this temporal need concerning your car before the throne of grace, for our God is the living God who cares for all our affairs. We are taught not to be idle, as though trust were sloth, nor to be rash and impudent as though we trusted to chance, but to act in all prudence and uprightness and to rely simply and entirely upon Him, for He is a God of economy and order. One who is made a child of God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ may then trust his Father's hand in these daily matters.

We will pray that the Lord in His providence will provide for you a cost effective and honest remedy, that He will guide you to skillful and upright hands, keep you from any sinful or deceitful means, and supply what is needed according to His wisdom. May He who commanded light to shine out of darkness shine upon your path in this matter and give you peace as you trust Him.

Let us pray together. O merciful Father, we thank You for Your goodness to our brother and sister who calls upon You. You know the need concerning this car and the burden of cost. In Your kindness provide what is needful, direct to that which is prudent and right, and let Your hand be seen in the provision. Give wisdom in every decision and a quiet heart to trust Your living care through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
