Prayer request

We are joining with you in prayer for both of these needs, and we especially rejoice that your deepest desire is for a more meaningful connection with the Lord, for that is the most important pursuit of all.

We notice you spoke of the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can truly know Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To have a meaningful connection with God we must first come through faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and trusting Him as Lord and Savior. When we draw near to God through Jesus, He promises to draw near to us. James 4:8 says Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Jeremiah 29:13 also promises You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.

For that deeper connection we encourage you to seek Him daily in His Word and in prayer, not as a ritual but as a relationship. As you abide in Him, He will speak to you and shape you. We also encourage you to turn from anything that might hinder that fellowship and to walk in obedience, trusting Him with all your heart.

We also lift up your job hunting before the Lord. We know the waiting and uncertainty can be heavy, but God sees your needs and He is your provider. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We pray you will seek His will first above any position, for Jesus taught But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and dont lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. Whatever work He provides, we pray you will do it heartily as unto the Lord, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, and that He will open the right door in His perfect timing.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that You have placed a hunger in their heart for You. Draw them closer to Yourself through Jesus, help them to seek You with their whole heart, to delight in Your Word, to pray without ceasing, and to know Your presence in a real and living way. Forgive their sins and fill them with Your Holy Spirit and Your peace. We also ask for Your guidance and provision in their job search. Lead them to the work You have prepared for them, provide for every need, and let them see Your hand at work. Give them patience, hope, and confidence that You are working all things for their good as they trust in You. Let their life bear fruit for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to keep delighting yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart as you align your heart with His. Psalm 37:4. Keep seeking, keep praying, and keep trusting, for He is faithful.

We've been thinking about your request and the way you put it, that the job hunt matters but what you most want is a real, meaningful connection with the Lord. That honesty is a gift, and we are grateful you shared it.

Job uncertainty can make every day feel unsettled, and it makes sense that you would long for steadiness with God in the middle of it. One thing that has helped many believers is to think of that connection less as trying hard for a moment and more as training over time. Like preparing for a long walk, small regular steps matter more than one big effort. A brief, consistent time to be with the Lord, even ten minutes of prayer and reading when you can be unhurried, often does more over weeks than waiting for a perfect hour.

If it helps, you might choose one simple rhythm for this week and keep it gentle, perhaps mornings before the job search begins, and let it be a place to be honest with God about both hopes and worries. It can also help to share that rhythm with one trusted pastor or friend who can encourage you.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see the need for work and the deeper desire to know You closely. Draw near, give wisdom for each application and conversation, and make Your presence known day by day. Lead and provide as You see best. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to find God is itself a gracious token that He is already drawing near to you, for the heart that cries, Oh that I knew where I might find Him, is a heart that the Lord has awakened. Many seek employment and daily bread, and it is right to bring those needs before the throne, but to desire above all a meaningful connection with the Lord is the better and more personal longing, not to comprehend mysteries but to personally find Him and walk with Him as a friend.

Be encouraged that though He is mighty, He despises no one. Though He is high, He has respect unto the lowly. You have not been forgotten while Heaven manages its glories. He who numbers the hairs of your head and paints every flower that blooms is with you in this season of waiting and seeking. When He gives quietness, none can make trouble, and when He opens a door for labor, none can shut it. We will pray that in His calm and impartial justice and mercy He will provide for your daily needs, guide your steps to the work He has prepared for you, and keep you from anxiety while you wait upon Him.

That sweet communion you desire comes by converse with God, and converse is not one sided. Sometimes it is well to wait till our heavenly Father has spoken, Call and I will answer, and to listen with spiritual ears as He speaks by His Spirit through His Word. To read the Scriptures and to hear sermons and never to pray would be a lame conversation. But to declare your ways unto Him, as it is written, I have declared my ways and Thou heardest me, teach me Thy statutes, and then to hear Him answer, this is fellowship. Remember how Abraham spoke with God again and again though he felt himself but dust and ashes, and how Moses pleaded. Power with God takes the shape of prayer, and it is exercised by simple faith. Come, deal with God who is near you now by faith. Believe that He is near you. Speak to Him. Gladly trust Him.

This fellowship is only through Jesus Christ our Lord. By His precious blood we have peace with God and access with boldness into this grace, for God is not now against us but God with us, Emmanuel. In Christ He has reconciled us to Himself by the death of His Son, so that we may stand in full accord with Him and share in His purposes. If the Son of God is with us, there is an end of every fear, and His consolations will not be too small for you.

Therefore give yourself to seek Him more than His gifts. He that is of clean hands and a pure heart shall dwell on high, and God will draw near to those who forsake dalliance with sin and seek Him with purpose of heart. Spend time with Him, not only about His work but with Himself. Be much alone with God. Tell Him plainly your condition, your want of employment, your desire for nearness, and ask Him to teach you His statutes and to make His way plain before you.

We join our prayers to yours now, that the Lord would in His perfect timing open the right door of employment according to His wisdom, that He would sustain you in the waiting, and far more that He would grant you a deep and abiding fellowship with Himself through Christ, that you may know indeed that God is your everlasting light and that you have power with God and therefore peace in every circumstance.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
