We join with you in bringing your marriage, your finances, and your hearts before the Lord, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
We rejoice that you honor the sanctity of marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we stand with you to see that covenant strengthened in love and understanding. The Word teaches us, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord and Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:22, Ephesians 5:25 Each of you also should love his wife even as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33 When both walk in this mutual love and respect, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, Ephesians 4:2, attitudes are softened and unity is restored.
We also lift up your financial needs and your desire for guidance. God cares about every area of your life and He promises, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 He also calls us to seek His wisdom first, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 As you seek to know what to do, we encourage you both to commit your decisions to Him together in prayer, to be faithful stewards of what He has provided, to communicate openly without bitterness or quarreling, and to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
We pray together for you now.
Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and lift up this dear wife and her husband and their marriage to You. Lord, You see their financial pressures and their need for direction, and we ask You to provide for them, to give them wisdom to steward well what You entrust to them, and to open doors according to Your will. We pray for this husband, that You would work in his heart and attitude, filling him with Your love, patience, and gentleness, and that You would help him to love his wife as Christ loved the church. We pray for this wife, that You would fill her with grace, respect, and strength to love and support her husband. Lord, protect this marriage from division and from the schemes of the enemy, and let no man separate what You have joined together. Pour out upon them Your peace which surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Help them to walk above all else in love, which is the bond of perfection, Colossians 3:14, and to grow in understanding, forgiveness, and tender affection for one another. Guide their steps, show them clearly what to do, and let Your will be done in their home. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying together daily as husband and wife, to read the Word together, and to bring every worry to God with thanksgiving, for He promises His peace will guard you as you do. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 Remain steadfast in love and faithful in seeking Him, and trust that He who is faithful will protect you and lead you.
