We hear your cry for help in this intense spiritual conflict and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name to seek God's will and His victory over every work of witchcraft and darkness that has come against you.
The Word of God makes it clear that this battle is real but that the victory already belongs to Jesus Christ. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Eph 6:12. Yet we do not need to fear, for You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Cor 10:4. Therefore we rebuke every work of witchcraft, for the Scripture warns that there shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination or sorcery or witchcraft Deut 18:10, and that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God Gal 5:20-21. We turn away from all of it completely and we choose to submit ourselves wholly to God, for if we submit ourselves therefore to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7.
You have asked God to show you where you need to repent and we praise God for that humble heart, for it is God who grants repentance and reveals what is hidden. We pray that you will invite the Holy Spirit to search you, as David prayed, Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way Psalm 139:23-24. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. This includes any known or unknown involvement with witchcraft, occult practices, consulting mediums, charms, or even harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, or idolatry that can give the enemy a foothold. God promises to forgive and cleanse when we openly confess and renounce these things and turn from them to follow Jesus. You also asked for power to repent where witchcraft has seemed to control you, and we want to assure you that no control of darkness is stronger than the blood of Jesus. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Tim 1:7. It is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure Phil 2:13, and He will give you the power to repent and to walk in freedom as you abide in Christ and put on the whole armor of God Eph 6:11.
You also desire to know how to pray rightly for the things you need and want in this life, and the Scripture teaches us that we must pray according to the will of God and in the name of Jesus. We noticed your request spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. When we pray in Jesus' name, we come under His authority and His victory. And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. This means we align our desires with His Word, we delight ourselves in the Lord and He gives us the desires of our heart Psalm 37:4, and we avoid asking amiss to spend it on our pleasures James 4:3. Praying rightly means praying with a clean heart, with faith without doubting, with thanksgiving, and with persistence, trusting that our Father knows what we need before we ask.
So together we pray for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear soul who is in the midst of spiritual conflict. Lord, we ask You to shine Your light into every dark place and show clearly where repentance is needed. Give conviction by Your Holy Spirit, grant godly sorrow that leads to true repentance, and give power to turn away completely from every work of witchcraft and every sin that has given the enemy ground. Wash and cleanse with the blood of Jesus, break every chain and every curse and every control, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. Fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, clothe in the armor of God, and teach how to pray according to Your will, in faith, in humility, and in the authority of Jesus' name. We declare that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Rom 8:37, and we thank You that thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Cor 15:57. Lead into a life of victory, peace, and obedience, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
