Beloved of All
We thank God with you for His goodness, and we join you in bringing these needs before Him.
We pray that the Lord will grant you true rest, both for your body in sleep and for your soul in Christ, remembering that our perfect rest is the hope laid up for us in heaven, while here He sustains us through every affliction. We ask Him to watch over the health of your loved ones and your own household, and to lay His healing hand upon those suffering with lung trouble and upon the one with the heart issue. May He grant them quick and complete healing according to His mercy, and give wisdom and skill to all who care for them.
We also stand with you against lustful thoughts. Scripture teaches that temptations such as lust and vainglory belong to the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, and that no temptation has taken hold of us except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation He will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. When such thoughts arise, turn quickly to Him in prayer, fill your mind with His Word which is living and powerful and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart, and flee from what stirs those desires.
Hearing the Word is not sufficient for salvation unless we also do it, so let us continue to walk in obedience, seeking purity of heart and peace, trusting that the God of love and peace will be with you. May He keep you, strengthen you, and confirm you in holiness, and may all these prayers be answered according to His good will through Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have salvation.
