Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues, for *** heart issue, and quick healing, and against lustful though

We join you in thanking God for His goodness, for every good and perfect gift comes from Him and His steadfast love endures forever. We lift up your requests together before the Father in the name of Jesus.

We pray for good rest for you. The Lord gives sleep to His beloved and makes us dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety, and Psalm 127:2 reminds us that he gives sleep to his loved ones. We ask the Lord to quiet your mind and body, to grant you deep and restorative sleep and to renew your strength.

We bring before the Lord the health needs you mentioned, those loved ones you hold in your heart, the one with lung issues and the one with a heart issue, and we ask for quick healing. We know our God is the Lord who heals us. Exodus 15:26 says I am Yahweh who heals you, and Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and Isaiah 53:5 says by his wounds we are healed. We pray in faith according to James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We ask for the Lord's healing hand upon lungs and heart, for restored breathing, for a strong and steady heart, for complete recovery according to His will, and for peace for you and for them while you wait on Him. 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.

We also hear your honest confession about lustful thoughts and we want to address this with love and truth because God calls us to purity. Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Scripture calls us to flee sexual immorality, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Lustful thoughts are not harmless, they defile the heart and lead us away from holiness, and we are called to take every thought captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We encourage you to turn quickly from those thoughts, to confess them to the Lord, to receive His forgiveness, and to renew your mind with what is pure. Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. We pray that God will give you strength to flee temptation, to guard your eyes and your heart, and to walk in purity, whether you are single awaiting a godly marriage or married and called to honor your marriage covenant, for God designed sexual intimacy to be only within the lifelong marriage of one man and one woman.

We noticed your prayer was addressed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are saved by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and we come to God in His name alone. We pray you will continue to bring every request in the precious name of Jesus.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We ask in the name of Jesus for peaceful and deep rest, for health and healing for those we lift up with lung issues and heart issues, touch their bodies, restore what is broken, give wisdom to doctors and comfort to families, and grant quick healing if it is Your will. Forgive us for lustful thoughts and cleanse our hearts, help us to flee impurity and to fix our minds on what is pure and holy, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so we may walk in self control and holiness. We trust Your love and power and we ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We appreciate you taking time to thank God even while carrying so much. Praying for rest, for your loved ones, for lungs and hearts to heal, and for freedom from unwanted thoughts is a lot to hold at once, and we want to stand with you in it.

It makes sense that sleep would feel especially important right now when so many health concerns are on your mind. If these breathing and heart concerns have not yet had ongoing medical attention, we gently encourage you to keep your doctor or clinic involved alongside prayer, so you have support for both body and spirit. Bringing a short written list of what you are noticing can make those visits less overwhelming.

For the struggle with lustful thoughts, you are not alone in wanting a clearer mind. When those thoughts come, it can help to quietly turn your attention to the Lord, step away from what triggers them when you can, and talk honestly with a trusted mature believer who can pray with you regularly.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness to this family. We ask You to grant deep rest, to watch over each loved one named, to give wisdom to any caregivers and doctors, and to bring Your comfort and healing in the way You know is best. Give strength and a renewed mind day by day, and help our friend to sense Your nearness and care. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for every mercy flows from His gracious hand and His thoughts toward His people are constant, kind and precious.

We pray with you for rest. Our Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, given when we come to Him, and it is also a rest we go on to find as we learn of Him and take His yoke upon us. True rest is not rest with the yoke cast off, but rest in service with the yoke on, rest on the wing as we walk with Christ. May the Lord give you that deep, abiding rest unto your soul, and may He grant refreshing sleep and quietness of heart as you trust Him. We pray too that those you have named, whose health you have lifted before the throne, may know this same rest in Christ, for we who have believed do enter into rest.

We bring before the Lord the needs for healing you mention, the lung trouble and the heart trouble and the desire for quick recovery. Scripture shows us that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and often pardon and healing come together from the same hand. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. We ask the Lord to lay His healing hand upon each one, to give wisdom to those who provide care, to ease breathing and to strengthen the heart according to His perfect will. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts, so we trust His wise and tender purpose even as we ask earnestly for restoration.

We also join you in prayer against lustful thoughts. The mind must be conformed to the mind of Christ if we are to have fellowship with God and find rest. Let your mind be like the mind of Christ, and you shall find rest unto your soul. When such thoughts arise, bring them at once to Jesus who perceives the thoughts of the heart and who is able to cleanse and keep. Learn of Him who is meek and lowly in heart, and pray that He would set your affections on things above and keep your thoughts pure. His grace not only forgives sin freely when we rest on Jesus, but also changes the life and makes the nature new. We pray the Lord will give you strength to overcome evil with good, to walk in purity as becomes those who are in Christ, remembering that the body is for the Lord and that He calls His people to holiness in thought and deed.

May the Lord grant you confidence in His precious thoughts toward you, keep you near to Himself when you awake and when you lie down, and assure you of forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, by whom alone we have salvation and peace with God. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our only hope and healer. Amen.
