We have heard your request for your father who is seriously ill with obstructive jaundice and bile duct blockage, and we are lifting him and your whole family before the throne of grace together. We understand the heavy burden you carry, having spent everything you have for his treatment and now facing the lack of resources, and the fear and helplessness that brings. We stand with you in believing that God is our healer and our provider, and we bring your father to Him who is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.
The word of God reminds us that He is the Lord who heals us. It is written in Psalm 103:2-3 Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also find comfort in Exodus 15:26 where He reveals Himself as Yahweh who heals you, and in James 5:14-15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We know that God often works through the hands of physicians, yet all healing ultimately comes from Him.
We also hear you say that only God can heal him, and we agree with all our hearts, and we want to gently share that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and to that healing. You did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to be sure you know how precious that name is. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and calling upon His name that we are saved and have confidence to approach God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for in Romans 10:9 it says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
We also want to pray for your financial need, for our God sees your sacrifice and your love in honoring your father as commanded in Exodus 20:12, and He knows your need. We cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
So together we pray for your beloved father and for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear father to You, You know his body, his jaundice, his blocked bile ducts, every cell and every need. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon him, that You would restore the flow that is blocked, cleanse his body, relieve his suffering, and grant wisdom to every doctor and nurse who cares for him. Lord, we ask for Your miraculous touch where medicine has reached its limit. We pray also for this family who has given everything out of love, who now feels empty and afraid. Provide for them, Lord, open doors for financial help, for resources, for favor with those who can assist, and let them feel Your peace that passes all understanding guarding their hearts. Comfort them with Your presence, strengthen their faith, and remind them in Isaiah 41:10 that You say do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. We ask all this according to Your perfect will, trusting Your goodness and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek godly counsel and practical help, to ask your local church family and community to bear this burden with you, and to let the elders of your church pray over your father as taught in James 5:14. Keep keeping, keep praying, and keep seeking Him daily in His word. We are continuing to pray with you for your father's healing and for God's provision and peace to rest upon your home.
