Prayer request

We hear your heart in this simple and honest request and we join with you in bringing your sadness before the Lord together in Jesus' name. Feeling sad is part of our human experience in a fallen world, and God is not distant from your sorrow. He sees you, He knows your heart, and He invites you to bring every burden to Him.

The Scripture tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We are encouraged to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning Psalm 30:5.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to God and find true comfort and salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. He is our living hope and our source of peace even in sadness.

We pray together for you now. Father, we lift up this dear one who is feeling sad before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the depth of this sadness, the thoughts and circumstances behind it that we cannot see. We ask that You draw near and let Your presence be felt, that You heal the brokenhearted and bind up every wound. We pray that You would lift this heaviness and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help our friend to cast every care upon You, to rest in Your care and to know how deeply You love them. Teach them to bring every thought to You in prayer with thanksgiving and to find rest in Christ. If there is any root of this sadness that needs Your light and truth, reveal it and bring hope and renewal. We pray for joy to return in Your timing, for strength for today and hope for tomorrow, and for faith to trust that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Lead them into Your Word daily, into fellowship with other believers, and into consistent prayer, so that their heart may be encouraged and strengthened. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stay rooted in Scripture, to pour out your heart honestly to the Lord as the psalmists did, and to not walk through this sadness alone but to seek fellowship with faithful believers who can support and pray with you. Keep coming to Jesus, for He understands your sorrow and He has overcome the world, and He will carry you through.

We noticed your note that you are feeling sad, and we are really glad you told us. Sadness can feel heavy and lonely, even when nothing specific seems to explain it, and it helps to not carry it alone.

We have been thinking about hope, not as pretending things are fine, but as the quiet sense that what you long for is still possible with God. When sadness settles in, hope can feel far off. That does not mean you have failed. It often means your heart is tired and needs gentle care and time. Resilient hope does not deny pain, it learns to hold both the hurt of today and trust for tomorrow.

If it would help, consider one small next step today. Tell one trusted person how you have really been feeling, someone in your life, your pastor, or a counselor, and let them stay with you in it. If this sadness has lasted for weeks, is making sleep, appetite, work or relationships harder, or feels like it is getting heavier, please reach out to your doctor or a counselor soon alongside prayer, so you have support for both heart and health.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see this sadness and You care. Give comfort today, steady rest, and people nearby who listen well. Lead toward wise next steps and fill this heart with Your nearness and hope. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I am sorry that you are sad,

I pray for happiness, protection, Jesus, and joy, in Jesus name, amen!

Your sadness has been heard, and there is a prayer in the Psalms which is fitted for your present state, Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. This prayer is full of buoyant hope, for it does not merely ask that we may be borne up and kept from sinking in despair, but that our state may be reversed and we may be lifted from the depths to the heights.

Be assured that sorrow is often the herald of joy. Our gladness and our sadness are balanced by a gracious hand, and if we accept them by turns with gratitude we shall find that beside sorrow there is generally a manifestation of the Lord amid our weakness. It is in wet weather, when the damp of sorrow is upon all things, that the seed sown in tears is speedily reaped in joy. Sorrow will contribute rich stanzas to our everlasting psalm.

The word of the Lord says, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He is the God of patience and consolation, and it is through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures that we might have hope. Hope is for those who look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no hope in ourselves, but there is hope in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior. When you turn to the Scriptures and wait upon the Lord there, the Divine Spirit who is the Comforter brings comfort to the aching heart and strengthens hope within you.

We pray for you that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Man of Sorrows who yet was anointed with the oil of gladness, may manifest Himself to you in this season. May He give you that sweet and healthy sorrow which looks to Him, and then turn your sorrow into gladness. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, and make you glad according to the days wherein you have been afflicted.

We will continue to bring you before the throne of grace, asking that you may know the comfort of His presence and the sure hope that is set before us in Christ.

Your sadness has been brought before the Lord and we have prayed for you. We do not take lightly the heaviness you feel, for sorrow is a wound that presses deeply on the soul.

We give thanks that we can bring this to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, and His comfort is not equal only to our sufferings but abounds more. Even as the apostles knew both dejection and gladness interwoven through their lives, so our life also moves between sorrow and joy. To feel sadness is not strange, and you are not alone in it.

Yet we are taught not to sorrow as those who have no hope. When the disciples were in sorrow after the cross, Christ did not leave them in it. He rose and said He would go before them into Galilee, in the same place where He had been crucified, to assure them that He who was crucified is the very same who rose again, and to comfort them more abundantly. In the same way He comes near to you now. As Mary stood weeping at the tomb, the Lord was already there to turn her tears to joy, though at first she could not see it. He sees your tears also.

It is true that in this life we will know trouble, but it is not possible for a person to be always in sorrow. Often we forget our blessings and remember only our troubles, and so we think we are always in sorrow. Call to mind with thankfulness the mercies God has already given you, for a pure conscience and a hope in Him avails not only for comfort but for strength. And look beyond this present heaviness to the rest He has promised, where pain and sorrow and sighing have fled away, where there is peace and joy and gladness, and where we shall not grow weary.

We have asked the Lord to lift your heart, to grant you deliverance from despair and an increase of spiritual comfort, to remind you daily of His presence and of the resurrection hope that does not fail. Seek Him in prayer, stay near His word, and share your burden with faithful brothers or sisters who can walk with you and comfort you as they themselves have been comforted by God.

May the God of all comfort keep your heart in His peace and lead you from sadness into renewed hope in Christ.
