Prayer request

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His goodness, for every good and perfect gift comes from above from the Father of lights James 1:17 and we taste and see that Yahweh is good Psalm 34:8. We lift up your requests together before His throne.

We pray for the good rest you asked for, that the Lord who gives sleep to His beloved Psalm 127:2 would grant you peaceful and restorative rest, for we know that we can lie down and sleep in peace for Yahweh alone makes us live in safety Psalm 4:8. We also bring before the Lord the health needs you mentioned for your loved ones, and we ask for His healing hand upon the one suffering with lung issues. We pray for quick and complete healing according to His will, for He is Yahweh who heals us Exodus 15:26 and He heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and we claim His promise that He will restore health and heal wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We pray that He would breathe strength into those lungs, for our very breath is from Him, and that He would comfort and sustain your family as you wait upon Him.

We also want to address with love and truth your honest confession about battling lustful thoughts. We commend you for bringing this into the light, for this is a common struggle but one we are called to overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28, and we are instructed to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We encourage you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to flee youthful lusts and follow righteousness, faith, love, and peace 2 Timothy 2:22, filling your mind instead with whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report Philippians 4:8. This includes guarding your eyes, guarding your heart, avoiding sources of temptation, and pursuing purity as you would pursue a godly marriage if that is your calling, for marriage between a man and a woman is honorable and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4, but all sexual activity outside of that covenant and even the lustful intent of the heart is sin that needs repentance and the cleansing of Jesus.

We noticed you prayed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with that faith you will be saved Romans 10:9.

We pray together now, Father we thank You for Your goodness and mercy that endures forever. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You grant our dear one sweet and deep rest, restore health to each loved one mentioned, and touch and heal the lungs that are struggling, breathing new life and strength and bringing quick recovery if it be Your will. We ask that You help us to flee from lust and to walk in purity, renewing our minds by Your Word and empowering us by Your Spirit to live holy lives pleasing to You, and we ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. We noticed you began with thanksgiving even while carrying several concerns, and we appreciate that heart.

We are joining you in prayer for restful sleep, for your own health and for those you love, especially for the lung issues you mentioned. We ask God for healing and strength, and we also encourage you to keep a doctor involved for those lung concerns as you continue to pray, so you have good care alongside prayer.

We also hear your honesty about wanting freedom from lustful thoughts. That is a common struggle and you are not alone in it. It often helps not to carry it alone. If you have a trusted pastor, mentor or mature friend you can talk with openly, inviting that kind of steady accountability and prayer support can make a real difference over time.

We are grateful for your openness and we will keep praying with you.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness to our friend. We ask You to grant rest, to watch over their health and the health of their loved ones, and to bring healing to those lungs according to Your will. Give wisdom to their medical providers and peace to their heart. Strengthen them against unwanted thoughts and draw them closer to You each day. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness, for every good gift cometh down from the Father of lights and His mercy endureth forever. Your prayer is heard, and we bring it before the throne of grace with you.

You ask for good rest. Hear the gracious invitation of our Lord, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death only, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. We who have believed do enter into rest. It is a perfect rest, and it is also a growing rest, a rest found more and more as we learn of Him. True rest to the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service, not with the yoke off, but with the yoke on. Take His yoke upon you and learn of Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Trust and you shall rest. We pray that the Lord will grant you both needful sleep for the body and that deeper soul rest which is found only in Christ, that your mind may be like the mind of Christ and your heart kept in His peace.

You ask for health and for healing for lung issues and quick healing. We pray the Lord in His mercy will lay His healing hand upon those who are afflicted. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. Pardon and healing are near of kin, for when Jesus healed the sick He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. We ask the Lord to show His compassion, to ease the lungs and restore strength, if it be His will, and to sanctify this affliction to the soul. Let us by prayer bring these dear ones beneath the healing touch of Him who can say, Be thou clean. We do not prescribe to the Lord, but we humbly ask for quick healing according to His wise and tender will, knowing His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, constant, kind, wise and gracious toward His people.

You ask also for deliverance against lustful thoughts. This is a needful and holy prayer, for sanctification is the great open separator of Christians from the world, and charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity. The Lord saith, My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, and our thoughts must be conformed to His thoughts or we cannot walk with Him. Lustful thoughts would drag the soul down, but high thoughts of God beget hope and confidence and lead to purity. We pray that you may be kept unspotted from the world, that you may look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, for to us He is alive and our familiar Friend. When evil thoughts arise, flee to Christ, learn of Him, and let His precious thoughts be precious to you. David said, When I awake, I am still with Thee, and holy thoughts of God place us near to God. Keep your heart with all diligence, let your adornments and your meditations be such as may lead your thoughts aright, and come to Him again tonight before you go to rest and say, Dear Master, wash my feet again from any spots of the world. He is able to keep you and to cleanse you.

So we pray together, that the God of all grace who alone saves through Jesus Christ our Lord would grant you rest in Christ, restore health to those you love, breathe healing upon weak lungs, and keep your mind in purity and peace, that you may walk worthy of Him in all things. May you find that rest which remaineth for the people of God, both now in believing and hereafter in His presence, where there is perfect rest without weariness. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We give thanks with you for the goodness of God, and we join you in prayer for these needs you have brought before the Lord.

We pray that God will grant you true rest, not only rest for the body in sleep but rest for the soul in Christ. Scripture reminds us that our hope is laid up in heaven and made secure there, so that even in present affliction we can rejoice and find comfort in Him.

We lift up to the Lord the health needs you mentioned, including those suffering with lung issues. We ask the Lord in His mercy to bring healing according to His will, to ease breathing, to restore strength, and to give wisdom and skill to those who provide care. We ask that He will sustain both those who are ill and those who love them, and give peace and patience in waiting upon Him.

We also pray with you against lustful thoughts. The Scripture teaches that the Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart. Nothing is hidden from Him, and He is able to cleanse and renew the mind. The same Scripture teaches us to take up the helmet of salvation and the shield of faith, so that the darts of temptation may be quenched and saving thoughts may guard our hearts. Lust and other passions belong to the cares of this world and its deceit, and they choke the good seed if they are not cast out. Therefore we pray that God will help you to turn quickly from every tempting thought, to set your mind on what is pure and good, to be strong in the Scriptures, and to walk in the grace of the Spirit.

We pray that you will continue in prayer, in reading the Word, and in seeking the help of Christ who alone is our salvation. May the God of love and peace be with you, keep you, heal and strengthen you, and make you firm in holiness for His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
