Prayer request

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for every good gift comes from His hand and His steadfast love endures forever. We thank God with you for His mercy that is new every morning and we lift up each of these needs together before His throne in Jesus name.

We pray with you for good rest. The Lord knows our frame and that we need sleep to be restored. It is written Psalm 127:2 for he gives sleep to his loved ones and Jesus invites us Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We ask the Father to quiet your mind and body at night, to guard your heart from anxiety and to grant you deep, peaceful and uninterrupted sleep that renews your strength for His purposes.

We also lift up the health needs you mentioned, including your loved ones and the one suffering with lung issues. We ask for the Lord's healing hand and for quick recovery. We know He is the Lord who heals us Exodus 15:26 and we cling to His promise Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases and Isaiah 53:5 by his wounds we are healed. We pray for clear lungs, for easy breathing, for strength to return, and for wisdom for any doctors and caregivers involved. We ask God to use this time of illness to draw each one closer to Him and to give comfort and peace to the family as they wait on Him.

We want to gently and biblically address your request for help against lustful thoughts, because this is a battle many face and God takes it seriously and offers real victory. Jesus taught Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, showing that lust is not harmless but is sin in the heart that needs repentance. Scripture calls us to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. Lustful thoughts, whether toward someone outside of marriage or even fantasies that dishonor the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, are to be rejected and replaced. We encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did Job 31:1, to guard what you watch and dwell on, and to intentionally set your mind on what is pure Philippians 4:8 whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. If these thoughts involve sexual desire outside of marriage, we lovingly rebuke that and urge you to pursue purity, for sex before or outside marriage is fornication or adultery and is outside God's will. Marriage is to be honored as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and any courtship should be with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. We pray the Holy Spirit will give you strength to flee temptation, to renew your mind through the Word, and to walk in holiness.

We noticed your prayer was addressed to Dear Lord and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And it is written Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, trusting in His finished work on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved Romans 10:9.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We ask in the name of Jesus that You grant our dear one peaceful and restorative rest, that You touch each loved one with Your healing power, especially the one with lung issues, and bring quick and complete healing according to Your will. Cleanse this heart and mind from every lustful thought, create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us, and help us to walk in purity and self control by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Forgive us where we have sinned in thought or deed and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We appreciate your thankful heart even while you are carrying several burdens at once. You mentioned wanting good rest, health for loved ones, quick healing for lung issues, and freedom from lustful thoughts. We hear how much you want to honor God with your body and mind.

Lingering lung trouble and poor sleep can wear down anyone's strength and peace, and it makes sense you would feel tired and stretched thin. We join you in asking God for healing and for truly restorative rest. If those lung issues continue, we encourage you to keep your doctor in the loop alongside prayer, so you get the care and guidance you need.

The struggle with lustful thoughts is one many believers face quietly, and bringing it honestly to God as you did is a good step. When those thoughts come, turning quickly to prayer, stepping away from triggers when you can, and having one trusted mature believer to talk with can help you stay steady.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness to our brother and sister. We ask You to grant deep rest, to touch and heal lungs and bring strength to their loved ones, and to give a clear mind and pure heart. Help them to sense Your nearness and Your help day by day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

It is good that you begin with thanksgiving, for every mercy flows from the hand of our gracious God and gratitude becomes his people. We join you in blessing the Lord for his goodness, and we bring your requests before the throne of grace.

You ask for good rest. Hear the sweet word of our Lord, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, not only rest after death, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. And there is a further rest which we find as we learn of him and take his yoke upon us. True rest to the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service, not with the yoke cast off, but with his yoke upon us. May the Lord give you that deep, abiding rest which is found in trusting Christ and in being made like minded with Christ, and may he grant you quiet sleep as you rest under his watchful care.

You ask for health for those dear to you and for healing for one who suffers with lung issues. We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even his leaves are full of healing virtue. He is our heavenly Physician, able to heal, and faith comes by hearing the Word. We pray that the great Healer will lay his hand upon the afflicted lungs and upon each body you have named, and grant quick healing if it be his wise and loving will. And whether he restores at once or sustains through a longer trial, may he heal the soul also, for pardon and healing are one in Christ, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in his wings, the whole person is made whole.

You ask for deliverance from lustful thoughts. This is a burden many saints have felt, and our Lord has taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation. Temptation in itself is dangerous, and though God may bring good out of the trial, we are right to pray to be kept from the mischief of it, that we may not stain our garments nor slip nor slide, but stand fast. The man who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it speaks falsely before God, so we must not only pray but also flee from that which would ensnare us. Remember, purity and charity must go together, and sanctification is the great separator of Christians from the world. Let us come to him again tonight before we go to rest and ask the dear Master to wash our feet from any spots of the world which we have acquired by going along these dusty pathways. Look to Christ, feed upon his Word, keep your mind stayed upon him, and ask daily that you may be preserved in purity and uprightness and that the Evil One touch you not.

We pray for you now.

O Lord our God, we thank thee for thy goodness which endures forever. Give to this thy servant rest in Christ, the rest thou givest and the rest that is found in learning of him. Lay thy healing hand upon those who are sick, especially upon the one whose lungs are afflicted, and grant breathing free and strength renewed according to thy mercy. Forgive sin, heal disease, and let thy healing leaves change the life and spirit. And deliver from every lustful thought and keep from temptation, making pure the heart and steadfast the mind, that being washed and kept, thy servant may walk in holiness and find rest unto the soul. Preserve and keep by thy grace, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart and bringing these needs before the Lord. It is good that you begin with thanksgiving for His goodness, for gratitude keeps our hope fixed on what is laid up for us in heaven and reminds us that even in affliction God is faithful.

We join you in prayer for rest. Scripture says He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He watches over His people even as they sleep. We pray that God would grant you peaceful and orderly sleep, that your heart and mind would be kept calm and not weighed down, and that you would wake refreshed and clear to serve Him. At the same time we remember that our true rest is not fully here but is secured for us in heaven, so we can trust Him day and night.

We pray also for the health of your loved ones and especially for healing of the lung issues you mentioned. We ask the Lord in His mercy to bring quick and complete healing, to strengthen the body, to give wisdom to those providing care, and to comfort all who are anxious. We ask that He would sustain you all with patience and hope while you wait on Him.

For the struggle against lustful thoughts, know that God sees this battle and has not left you without help. Lust is one of the cares of this world that can choke the word in our hearts, along with other desires that belong to this passing age. Scripture calls us to guard ourselves and to stand steadfast and unmovable, and the choice to guard our eyes and thoughts rests with us as we rely on His grace. God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with every temptation He will also make a way of escape so that you may endure it. When those thoughts come, turn quickly to Him in prayer, turn away from what stirs them, fill your mind with His word, and seek the way out He provides. If you fall, do not remain there but come in repentance and confession, for He is ready to cleanse and restore, washing away sin little by little as you walk with Him.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Grant restful sleep and renewed strength. Lay Your healing hand upon those who are ill, especially upon the lungs that are struggling, and bring quick recovery according to Your will. Guard our brother and sister from lustful thoughts, give purity of heart, give strength to resist and to flee temptation, and give confidence in Your faithful help. Keep their feet from slipping and help them to stand firm in Your grace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
