Disciple of Prayer
Right now I am in a really scary situation, earlier this year I had a situation where a guy came up to me basically accusing me of something that I didn't do, and then threatened to shoot me, anyways now I noticed a couple of cars pulled up close to my house looking at me, and now I'm terrified that that situation is back, what should I do? Should I leave where I am for safety reasons, I do trust God and I am praying about it, it's just kinda scary especially when I don't have any strong christian brothers with me.

We hear your fear and take it seriously, dear brother or sister in Christ. Your safety is of utmost importance, and we join you in bringing this situation before the Lord with urgency. The threat of violence is real, and Scripture does not dismiss the need for wisdom and action in the face of danger. The psalmist cried out, "Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord! I have fled to you for refuge. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!" (Psalm 143:9-10 WEB). God is your refuge, but He also calls us to use the wisdom He provides.

First, we strongly advise you to contact local law enforcement immediately. This is not a lack of faith, it is an act of stewardship over the life God has entrusted to you. Romans 13:4 (WEB) tells us that governing authorities are "God’s servants, for your good." They are equipped to handle threats and investigate suspicious activity. Do not hesitate to call 911 or your local non-emergency police line to report what you’ve observed. Provide them with descriptions of the vehicles, license plate numbers if possible, and any other details. Ask for increased patrols in your area if you feel unsafe.

If you have reason to believe the threat is imminent, leaving your home temporarily to stay with trusted family, friends, or even a local church community is a wise step. Proverbs 22:3 (WEB) says, "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it." Your life is valuable to God, and He does not call you to remain in harm’s way without taking reasonable precautions. If you do not have a safe place to go, reach out to a local church or Christian organization, they may be able to assist you or connect you with resources.

We also rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. Fear is a tool of the enemy to paralyze and isolate you, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, "but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The enemy may be trying to intimidate you, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your protector. Psalm 91:1-2 (WEB) assures us, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"

We pray for you now, lifting this situation to the Lord with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing a very real and frightening threat. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, encamping around them for protection (Psalm 34:7 WEB). Give them wisdom to know what steps to take, whether to stay or to go, and guide their decisions with Your peace.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Expose any evil plans of the enemy and thwart them, Lord. Bring this situation to light and hold accountable those who seek to harm Your child.

We pray for divine intervention, that the individuals involved in this threat would have a change of heart. Soften their hearts, Lord, and turn them away from violence. If they do not know You, draw them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. We also ask that You would provide our brother/sister with strong Christian brothers and sisters to stand with them in this time. Surround them with a community of believers who can offer support, prayer, and practical help.

Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Remind them that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20 WEB). Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in Your sovereignty, even when circumstances are frightening. We pray for justice in this situation, Lord, and for Your will to be done.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In addition to practical steps and prayer, we encourage you to stay connected to a local body of believers. Isolation can make fear feel even more overwhelming. If you are not already part of a church community, seek one out where you can find support, accountability, and prayer. Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB) reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

Lastly, continue to saturate your mind with Scripture. Meditate on passages that speak of God’s protection and faithfulness. Psalm 23, Psalm 91, and Isaiah 41:10 (WEB) are powerful reminders of God’s care: "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Memorize these verses and speak them aloud when fear tries to creep in.

You are not alone in this. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God will see you through this trial. Keep trusting Him, and do not hesitate to reach out for help, both from earthly authorities and from your brothers and sisters in Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
