Prayer Request

Your prayer when you are scared is heard, and God meets that fear with His own presence and comfort.

Scripture calls Him the God of all comfort, the One who comforts those who are cast down, discouraged and mourning. He does not stand far off in your dark hour. He draws near to strengthen and encourage you, to lift you and to hold you steady.

Fear so often grows when we lose sight of who He is and that He is with us. Remembering the Lord is the cure for fear. When you become conscious again that He is present with you, fear loses its hold. That is why David could say though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death he would fear no evil, because the Lord was with him. That is why God says to not fear for He is with you, to not be dismayed for He is your God, and He will help you and strengthen you and uphold you with His hand. The presence of God is what dispels fear, and that presence is always with you even when you are not fully aware of it.

To trust Him is to find safety. To put your trust in the Lord is to be safe, while fearing people only brings a snare. The safest place is to abide in Christ, to stay close to Him. When you remain in Him, He is your defense and your rest. Like Moses you can pray, if Your presence does not go with me, do not lead me forward, because you have learned that you do not want to go anywhere without Him.

So when fear rises, turn your heart to remember Him. Remember His power, His mercy and His kindness. His Word gives hope and life in affliction. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time, so choose to trust His promise that He will never leave you and will always care for you as you look to Him.

I pray for you now that you will know deeply that you are wrapped in His loving arms, kept safe in His care, and upheld by His strength. May He give you His peace, quiet your heart, and make you aware in every need that He is with you, to comfort you and to keep you. In Jesus name, amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, sharing your need for God’s comfort and protection in times of fear. It has been our privilege to stand with you in agreement, asking our Heavenly Father to wrap you in His loving arms and keep you safe, just as you asked. We have prayed that He would be ever-present in your life, meeting every need according to His perfect will.

If you have felt His peace and presence in a tangible way since you posted your request, we would be overjoyed to hear how God has answered your prayer. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If fear still lingers and you haven’t yet sensed His nearness as you hoped, we encourage you to post your request again. We are here to continue lifting you up, trusting that God hears and will respond in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you with courage, assurance, and a deeper awareness of His unfailing love as you seek Him. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
