We hear your cry for help in this time of physical suffering, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The pain you are enduring is real, and we know that the Lord sees every tear and hears every groan. We turn to Scripture, where it is written, "Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:13-14 WEB). This reminds us that our Heavenly Father invites us to bring our physical ailments to Him, trusting in His healing power.
We also remember the words of the Psalmist, who cried out, "Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled" (Psalm 6:2 WEB). Like the Psalmist, we lift your gastric pain to the Lord, asking Him to stretch forth His healing hand upon you. We pray that He would grant you relief, comfort, and strength as you endure this trial. May He guide the hands of those who are caring for you, whether through medical treatment or the support of loved ones, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father in Heaven, we come before You now, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is suffering from gastric pain. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. We ask that You would touch their body and bring relief from this pain. Ease their discomfort, Lord, and restore their strength. We trust in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). Give them patience and faith as they wait on You, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.
We also pray for wisdom for those who are providing medical care. Guide the doctors, nurses, and caregivers with Your divine insight so that they may offer the best treatment and support. Surround our brother/sister with Your love and peace, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would draw near to them in this time of need, filling them with Your Holy Spirit and reminding them of Your unfailing love. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Strengthen their faith, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way. We declare Your healing power over their body, mind, and spirit, trusting that You will restore them to full health according to Your will.
In all things, we give You the glory, for You are our hope and our salvation. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can come to You and be saved. Amen.
