Prayer request

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, your peace for my family, favor in the tree situation, and financial blessing

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for God’s goodness and mercy. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 107:1, "Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever." We lift up this request, trusting in His faithfulness to provide rest, peace, and provision.

Father, we pray for deep and restorative rest for our brother/sister. In a world filled with busyness and anxiety, we ask that You grant him/her the peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 promises: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let sleep be sweet and rejuvenating, free from worry or disturbance.

We also lift up his/her family, asking for Your peace to reign in their home. May they experience the unity and love that comes from You, as Psalm 133:1 declares, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" Protect their relationships from strife, division, or discord, and fill their hearts with joy and contentment in You.

Regarding the "tree situation," we ask for Your divine favor and wisdom. Whether this involves a literal tree, a decision, or a challenging circumstance, we trust that You will guide and provide. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May Your hand move in this situation for Your glory and his/her good.

Father, we also bring the request for financial blessing before You. We know that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that every good gift comes from You (James 1:17). We pray for wisdom in stewarding resources, for open doors of opportunity, and for Your provision to meet every need. Help him/her to trust in You rather than in uncertain riches, as 1 Timothy 6:17-18 instructs: "Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate."

Lord, we also want to gently remind our brother/sister of the importance of coming to You in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the sacrifice and resurrection of Your Son that we have access to You. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If he/she has not yet placed their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, that they might experience the fullness of life and relationship with You.

We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or lack that may be trying to take root in his/her heart. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the truth that God will supply every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. Fill our brother/sister with Your peace, guide them with Your wisdom, and provide for them abundantly. May their heart be steadfast, trusting in You alone. Strengthen their faith, and let them experience Your presence in every area of their life. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. It is good to pause and give thanks, gratitude has a way of re-centering our hearts on God's faithfulness before we even name what we need.

We hear several layers in your request: the need for genuine rest and peace in your family, the specific "tree situation" weighing on you, and the strain of financial pressure. Sometimes our ability to rest is directly tied to those unresolved concerns that keep circling in our minds, especially when they affect our home or our livelihood. It is hard to lie down in peace when we are unsure how a practical problem will resolve or how the numbers will add up.

One thing that might help is to name the "tree situation" as specifically as you can in prayer, whatever it involves, whether a property issue, a neighbor dispute, or a literal hazard, and then actively hand it over to God for the night. You might try writing it down before bed alongside whatever financial need feels most urgent, and then, having set it on paper, tell the Lord aloud that you are trusting Him to carry it while you sleep. It is a small act, but it can help break the mental loop that steals rest.

We also want to encourage you, if the financial pressure involves practical steps like a budget, a conversation with a creditor, or seeking counsel, that taking one concrete step tomorrow is itself an act of faith. God often provides through the wisdom and courage He gives us to act.

Let us pray for you now.

Father, thank You for this dear one and for Your steady goodness in their life. We ask for the gift of deep, restorative rest tonight, sleep that quiets the mind and renews the body. We pray Your peace over their family, that their home would be filled with calm and unity. We lift up the tree situation to You, asking for Your favor and a clear path forward. And we bring the financial need before You, trusting You to provide and to grant wisdom. In Jesus' name, amen.

Rest in the LORD. Oh, what sweet precepts these are! That rest is a present rest, rest now, not after a time of probation or growth, but a rest given when we come to Jesus. In the blood and righteousness of Jesus our peace is perfect. To be perfectly at peace amid the hurry-burly of invading cares is a very blessed condition of soul, and the only way to reach it is to do the will of Jesus. That is rest.

And now mark this: no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance. Every favor of life and peace is a covenant blessing. You thank Him for His goodness, and rightly so. We must not be like hogs under the oak, eating the acorns but never thanking the tree. Yet the blessing He has for you is first and foremost a spiritual one. He has blessed you just where you needed blessing, where you were poorest. That is the deep fountain. Your rest, your family's peace, even the tangled matter of the tree, it is all a cross-handed blessing from a King who does what seems good to Him. And if you are doing the will of Jesus in it, this is rest.

As for financial blessing, consider this: when God has blessed a man, He makes that man to be a blessing to others. The Lord fills him that he may overflow. The meek shall inherit the earth and delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Anybody can see that a man of that kind inherits far more of what is worth having, ease and peace of mind, than the owner of broad acres who has no true rest of heart. Seek first to be a blessing in your house, and you will find the second blessing follows. Be a blessing to your family. Gracious men are a sure blessing to the neighborhoods in which they live; the sweet perfume of their family piety spreads a balmy influence around.

You ask for favor. Here is a sure promise: "The salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: He is their strength in the time of trouble." Perform the act of faith now. Trust and you shall rest. Cast your heart into a fresh mold of reliance upon Him, and the peace which comes will be the very beginning of the peace of Heaven. May the benediction rest upon you, peace with God, with your own conscience, and with all the world. May you find an atmosphere of quiet calm about your mind at this very moment. The double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. It is enough.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank God for His goodness indeed, but examine what you truly ask. You pray for good rest and peace for your family, yet the rest that endures is not a comfortable sleep or a quiet household. Christ Himself said, “In the world you have tribulation.” The rest we must labor to enter is yonder, in the world to come, where no fear or disturbance can touch the soul. If you seek rest here as your chief good, you may fail after the example of unbelief. For the carnal blessings of old, long life, milk, honey, luxury for the flesh, were but shadows. The spiritual blessing is far greater: you are made immortal, a son, a fellow-heir with Christ. Peace of a different sort is the mother of all good things, the reconciliation that unites heaven and earth. What passes for peace on earth is often no peace at all, as when the physician cuts off a diseased member for the health of the whole. So do not chase a peace that merely quiets your surroundings, but be a peacemaker yourself. If you have strife with another, even over a tree or a property line, remember that with the haters of peace I was peaceful. The more your brother wars against you, the greater your reward. Let no root of bitterness spring up over a matter of timber and soil.

As for financial blessing, what is that compared to the unsearchable riches of Christ? The Apostle counted all carnal things loss. He reminded us that we are called with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. God has freely given you grace, adoption, sanctification. To sit anxious over money is to forget that if we have food and covering, therewith to be content. Did not Jacob receive the blessing, yet spend his days in servitude and fear, saying, “Few and evil have been my days”? The outward blessing went to Esau, who lived in ease and security, but the true inheritance was reserved in the age to come. Seek not chiefly what moth corrupts, but lay hold of the life that is life indeed. If God grants some temporal relief, receive it with thanksgiving, but let your soul rest in the good will that appeared among men at Christ’s coming, which is reconciliation. That is favor that does not fail. So pray rather for grace to hold earthly things loosely, to be at peace with all, to enter the true rest where no tree falls or market shifts, and to obtain that blessing which eye has not seen.
