We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the goodness of our Heavenly Father. We lift up this request, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. First, we want to address the foundation of our prayers, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today, for He is the only path to true rest, peace, and blessing.
Now, let us lift up your needs before the Lord with faith and expectation.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy that are new every morning. We ask You to grant this dear one and their family deep, restorative rest. Lord, You invite us to come to You when we are weary and burdened, and You promise to give us rest (Matthew 11:28). We pray that You would quiet their minds, ease their anxieties, and fill their home with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them lie down and sleep in peace, for it is You, Lord, who makes them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
Father, we lift up their family to You. We pray that You would knit their hearts together in unity, love, and mutual respect. May they be a family that seeks You first in all things, honoring You in their words, actions, and decisions. Help them to bear with one another in love, forgiving each other as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). We rebuke any division, strife, or unforgiveness that may be attempting to take root in their home, and we declare that Your peace will reign in their midst.
Lord, we ask for Your favor to surround them like a shield in the "tree situation" they mentioned. We do not know the details, but You do. We pray that You would go before them, make their paths straight, and turn what may seem like an obstacle into an opportunity for Your glory. Give them wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and discernment, trusting in Your perfect timing and plan (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we also bring their financial needs before You. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and You know every need before they even ask (Matthew 6:8). We pray for financial blessing to flow into their lives, not for greed or selfish gain, but so they may be a blessing to others and live in a way that honors You. Open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings so abundant that there will not be room enough to receive them (Malachi 3:10). Help them to be good stewards of what You entrust to them, and give them wisdom in managing their resources. We rebuke any spirit of lack, poverty, or fear in this area, and we declare that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Lord, we also want to encourage this dear one to continue seeking You in all things. Draw near to them as they draw near to You (James 4:8). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find their joy and strength in You alone, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Rest in the Lord, what sweet precepts these are, yet if Grace is given us, we shall find them blessedly easy to practice. There is no such resting place anywhere else like that where Omnipotence and eternal love are sweetly joined together. Come now, by an act of instantaneous faith which will bring instantaneous peace, come and rely upon Jesus, and He will now give you rest. It is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death, not rest after a time of probation, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. In the blood and righteousness of Jesus our peace is perfect.
You will keep him in perfect peace, peace, peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. To be sure that what you are doing is what Jesus would have you do is peace. The meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Anybody can see that a man of that kind is in a healthy state and possesses far more of what is worth having, namely, ease and peace of mind, than the owner of broad acres who has no true rest of heart in the Lord.
When He turns in a way of Grace to His people, He comes with all His soul most heartily and richly to display His favor and His love. The Lord God smelled a sweet savor of rest, and a Covenant was given partly as the result of that sweet savor of rest. The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord, He is their strength in the time of trouble. The Lord will bless His people with peace. When you bring your cares to God, He gives peace.
As for the tree situation and the matter of provision, let but a child of God really digest such a royal dainty as the eternal God being our refuge and we shall be as well fed as Elijah under the juniper tree. Here I am, His servant, happy in His service and finding sweet rest in what I do for Him. The rest of a garden, not the rest of a task, that which grows of its own accord, a restful period in a restful land. Thus is it oftentimes with God’s people, when they rest most, they work best, and while they are resting, they are bearing fruit unto God.
Trust and you shall rest.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. You thank God for His goodness, yet you ask for carnal things: rest for the body, peace as the world gives, favor in a matter of trees and property, and financial blessing. Consider what is truly good. God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. He has made you immortal, a son, a fellow-heir with Christ. And you lack yet? You trouble yourself over a tree and money?
The peace you should seek is not the absence of worldly trouble. Our Lord said, "In the world ye have tribulation." The peace that passes understanding comes when the diseased and mutinous within you is cut off, when you stand aloof from carnal things. For what is earthly peace? Robbers may agree together. The true peace is to be at peace with God and with all men, remembering no evil, for this delights God and loosens the charges against you.
As for rest, beware lest you fail to enter the true rest by being fixed on temporal relief. The example of the Israelites shows that punishment fell because of their unbelief. Your mind, your hope, must be yonder. If you pursue spiritual blessings, God who is love and peace shall be with you, and every evil is removed. Seek first that kingdom, be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and He will freely give you all that is needful, according to His will, not according to carnal longings.

It strikes me that the things you are asking for, rest, peace for your family, favor in a practical trouble, and financial provision, are all good things. They are blessings, and God is a good Father who delights to give good gifts to His children. Yet so often we, like Esau of old, want the blessing without valuing the birthright. We crave what the Father’s hand can give and miss what the Father’s heart has already secured. True rest and lasting peace are not found in getting a situation sorted out; they are found in a Person.
There is a rest that remains for the people of God. It is not a rest that comes when the bank account is full or when the dispute over a tree is finally resolved. It is a rest of ceasing from your own works, just as God ceased from His on the seventh day. You can struggle and scheme, trying to help God out, and all you will find is vexation of spirit. But the moment you rest your full weight on the finished work of Jesus Christ, you enter a peace that passes human understanding. The Father keeps him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. Are you trusting in His provision, or are you trusting in the provision itself?
You mentioned your family. How wonderful that you desire peace upon them. Remember, blessed is everyone who fears the Lord. Your children are a heritage from Him, and your grandchildren, should He grant them, are one of this life’s sweetest glimpses of ongoing blessing, like olive shoots around your table. But that blessing flows from a heart of consecration. A burnt offering symbolizes a life wholly given over to God; a peace offering speaks of communion with Him. When a household walks in that yielded trust, peace becomes the natural atmosphere, not because circumstances are perfect, but because the God of peace is there.
Regarding that tree situation and the need for financial blessing, do not mistake the temporary for the eternal. The world seeks rest in prosperity and solutions, but you will never find ultimate peace there. You might say in your heart, “I will have peace though I walk in the imagination of my own heart,” but it is a false peace. Let your request be known to God with thanksgiving, and then rest. You are a son by adoption, an heir of the blessing of Abraham by faith. As surely as Isaac passed on the blessing, your Father has set His love upon you. He has blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
So, bring it to Him. Consecrate this need, commune with Him about it, and then leave it there. Do not look at the turbulent waves of the situation; keep your eyes on the One who calms the sea. The peace of God is not a feeling that comes when the tree is gone or the money arrives; it is the settled confidence that your case is in His hands. He has ordained peace for you. Rest in Him, for He is able to do what your striving never can.
