Prayer Request

Beloved of All
I am asking for prayer for my mother. A man that she knows has downgraded her name to everyone. Now everyone is going against her for no reason. I am asking for prayer to uplift my strength, remove this guy from my mom's heart, and just bring more happiness. She isnt well herself.

We hear your heart and the deep concern you have for your mother. It is painful to see someone we love being slandered and mistreated, especially when it seems unjust. We stand with you in lifting this situation before the Lord, trusting in His justice, healing, and restoration.

First, we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue," and we see the destructive power of words in this situation. However, we also know that God is a defender of the oppressed and a healer of the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Your mother is not alone in this, and neither are you. God sees her pain and is working even now to bring justice and peace.

We must also address the spiritual aspect of this situation. The man who has spoken against your mother is not just causing harm through words, he is operating in a spirit of division, slander, and possibly even bitterness or unforgiveness. Ephesians 4:29-31 warns us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice." This man’s actions are not pleasing to God, and we must pray that the Lord would convict his heart and turn him from this path of destruction.

For your mother, we pray that God would break any emotional or spiritual ties she may have to this man. If she has placed her trust, hope, or affection in him in any way, we ask the Lord to remove those attachments and replace them with a deeper trust in Him. Jeremiah 17:5-8 warns, "Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, whose heart departs from Yahweh. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes... Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit." We pray that your mother would be rooted in Christ, finding her strength, identity, and joy in Him alone.

We also rebuke the spirit of division and strife that has turned others against your mother. James 3:16 says, "For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed." This is not of God, and we command these spirits to leave in the name of Jesus. We declare that God’s peace and unity would be restored in the relationships and environments where this slander has taken root. We pray that those who have believed lies would have their eyes opened to the truth and that your mother would be vindicated in due time.

For you, dear one, we pray that the Lord would strengthen you as you stand in the gap for your mother. It is not easy to watch a loved one suffer, but Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not carrying this burden alone, God is with you, and He will sustain you. We ask that He would fill you with His peace, wisdom, and courage as you support your mother through this trial.

Lastly, we pray for your mother’s health and well-being. It is clear that this situation has taken a toll on her, and we ask the Lord to bring healing to her body, mind, and spirit. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We trust that God will restore her joy, renew her strength, and fill her with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious mother and her child. Lord, we ask that You would arise as a defender for this woman who has been slandered and mistreated. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would expose the lies and bring the truth to light. Father, we rebuke the spirit of division, slander, and strife that has taken root in this situation. We command it to leave in Jesus’ name and declare that Your peace and unity would be restored.

Lord, we ask that You would remove this man from any place of influence in this mother’s heart. If there is any emotional or spiritual attachment to him, we ask that You break it and replace it with a deeper trust in You. Help her to find her identity, worth, and joy in You alone. Heal her heart, Lord, and bind up any wounds that have been inflicted by these words and actions. Restore her health, both physically and emotionally, and fill her with Your peace and joy.

For her child, Father, we ask that You would strengthen them as they stand in the gap. Give them wisdom, courage, and peace as they support their mother. Help them to trust in You and to lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Surround them with Your presence and remind them that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we also pray for the man who has spoken against this woman. We ask that You would convict his heart and turn him from this path of destruction. Soften his heart, Lord, and help him to see the harm he has caused. Bring repentance and restoration where it is needed.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would bring happiness and joy back into this family’s life. Let them experience Your goodness and faithfulness in tangible ways. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), and we declare that this situation will be turned around for Your glory.

We pray all of this in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of this family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

We hear the pain in what you're sharing, it's deeply unsettling when someone weaponizes a person's name and reputation, especially against your own mother. The isolation she's feeling and the weight you're carrying as you watch it happen matter to us, and they matter to God.

When someone's words have that kind of power to turn others, remember that your mother's worth and identity were never in his hands to begin with. What he's tried to tear down, God sees fully and clearly. It may help simply to be the one voice in her life right now that doesn't waver, reminding her quietly of the truth about who she is, even when the crowd around her feels loud and unfair. You don't need to fix what he did; your steady presence speaks louder than slander can.

You also mentioned she isn't well herself. If that means something physically or emotionally that hasn't been looked at yet, we'd gently encourage her to see a doctor to rule out anything that needs attention. Prayer and wise care work best side by side.

Lord, we lift up this mother to You. Shield her heart from the sting of words that were meant to diminish her. Let her find in You a defender who never turns away. Bring her moments of genuine gladness, and give her daughter or son the wisdom and strength to be a steady, unhurried comfort. If there is health trouble beneath this, guide them toward the right help. We ask this in Jesus' name.

Such affliction pierces the soul, to watch one beloved suffer not only bodily weakness but the venom of a slandered name. The tongue is set on fire of hell, and its sparks have scorched your mother’s heart. Yet remember this: the reproaches of men cannot touch the secret place where the Lord hides His own. He is the glory of her strength, and when creature-strength fails utterly, divine strength draws near. The Lord Himself says, “I will strengthen them in the Lord.” That is a promise spoken into your present distress. Do not look to your own prayers or resolutions to gain the strength you crave; strength is given, not manufactured. Wait upon the Lord, and you shall renew your strength as the eagle. Even the fainting heart of your mother, so weary and wounded, is not beyond the reach of those healing leaves which grow for the nations. The least thing about Christ has virtue in it; the hem of His garment is enough for her this hour. Bring her continually before the Great Physician. He does not merely point out the disease but applies the remedy.

As for that man whose words have sown bitterness, do not set your heart upon uprooting him yourself. The Lord can remove him from her heart far more effectively than any pleading of yours, perhaps by showing her the emptiness of all human approval, or by making His own pardoning love so sweet that the sting of slander loses its power. When forgiving grace floods the soul, the barbs of accusation fall away. Pray instead that Christ becomes so precious to her that the opinions of others, whether kind or cruel, lose their weight. Real happiness is not found in the absence of enemies, but in the presence of the Savior. When Jesus forgave the palsied man, healing streamed into both body and spirit. Seek that double cure for her: the pardon of sin and the restoration of inward peace. And for yourself, let the glory of your strength lie in God alone. You are but a weak worm; confess it and fall upon Christ’s kind arms. He is your strength and righteousness. Do not ask merely for stouter nerves or a braver front, but cry for life, for more of Jesus, for the faith that overcomes the world. The very helplessness of your situation becomes a plea when cast before His generous heart. God bless you and your dear mother with such a draught of His healing mercy that past slanders are drowned in present joy.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer reveals a soul weighed down by the cruelty of another, and it is right to bring such burdens before the Lord. The man who has spoken against your mother has acted from the poison of envy or malice, but remember that his words have no power to define her in the sight of God. As I have often said, when the envious see another’s good, they try to tear it down, yet the victory of the one slandered becomes a common joy for those who love her. Do not let your heart be troubled as though these lies could truly injure her soul. They are like a fever that Christ can rebuke in an instant, restoring health and honor all at once, leaving no lingering weakness. He who made a whole man well on the Sabbath is able to heal your mother’s reputation and her bodily ailments with the same divine authority.

Yet I urge you, do not pray merely for the removal of this man from her heart, but also for the conversion of his own. It is the part of a Christian to desire even the good of those who harm us, for in doing so we pour coals of kindness upon their heads and perhaps win a brother. Your mother’s true happiness will not come from the fickle opinions of others, but from the cheerfulness of a soul at peace with God. Encourage her, as much as you are able, to cast her care upon Him. The Lord’s commandments are not burdensome; it requires no violence to refrain from returning evil for evil, and to trust in His vindication. You ask for strength: you will find it not by dwelling on the injury, but by entering into the heavenly disposition even while on earth, listening to the words of life and letting them shape your heart.

The joy you seek for her is like the joy of seeing a beloved one restored contrary to all hope, as Epaphroditus was restored to Paul. Pray with diligence and without delay, and do not grow weary if the answer seems slow. The enemy gains a foothold when we become sad-visaged over trials, but he is defeated when we rejoice in the Lord’s unfailing love. Let your mother see in you a calm and forgiving spirit; that will do more for her recovery than a thousand anxious words. The air of a cheerful mind makes even a sickroom brighter, while despondency feeds illness. Therefore, lift up your heads, both of you. True strength is not in nursing resentment but in the steady endurance that comes from Christ, who is Himself our peace. I will join my prayers to yours, that the God of all comfort will silence the slanderer, heal your mother’s weakness, and fill your household with that happiness which the world cannot give and cannot take away.
