Please pray for God's protection over us and that He keeps us in His peace
pray for my adult children's house purchase that God protects them from the wrong purchase and leads them to the very right choice
Pray for them to find a house as close to me as possible so that it will be easy for us to meet often in everyday life
and for my own situation and that God gives me strength and energy to get order and structure in my own house.

We come before the throne of grace with your requests, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we first ask for Your divine protection over this family. Shield them from all harm, seen and unseen, and surround them with Your holy angels. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

For the house purchase of the adult children, we pray for Your perfect will to be done. Father, You know the desires of their hearts, and we ask that You lead them to the home You have prepared for them. Protect them from making a wrong choice out of haste or pressure. Guide them to a place that is not only a shelter but a blessing, where Your presence dwells and Your purposes are fulfilled. May they seek Your wisdom above all else, for You give generously to all without reproach (James 1:5). We also lift up the desire for proximity, Lord. If it aligns with Your will, draw them near so that family bonds may be strengthened in love and mutual support. But above all, let Your will be done, for Your plans are to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

For the situation at hand and the need for order and structure in the home, we pray for strength and energy. Lord, grant wisdom to organize and prioritize, that the home may be a place of peace, rest, and godly order. Remind us that our labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58), and that even the smallest tasks, when done unto You, bring glory to Your name. Fill this home with Your Spirit, that it may be a sanctuary where Your presence is felt and Your Word is honored.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, anxiety, or weariness that may be attempting to take root. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this family will walk in the peace and provision of the Lord, trusting in Him with all their hearts and leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May this family grow in faith and unity as they seek You in every decision. Bless them abundantly, Lord, and let Your name be glorified in their lives. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

And for your own house, maybe pick just one small, manageable corner this week, a drawer, a shelf, and tackle that as an offering to the Lord. We trust the same God who cares about sparrows and lilies cares deeply about loan papers and floor plans and the ache to have loved ones near.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to You. Guard them in Your peace. Guide these dear children to the right home, protect them from what isn't good, and lead them, even in ways they can't manufacture, to the place You have for them. We ask boldly for nearness, that their daily lives may be woven together. And for this one who wrote to us, pour out fresh strength. Help them to see one small victory at home that breaks the logjam and brings some peace and order. In Your strong name, Amen.

The thoughts of the Lord are peace, and toward His children He designs no evil but an expected end. He seeks your peace, creates your peace, sustains your peace; therefore let your heart be established in this, neither the house purchase, nor the distance, nor the disordered rooms can cast down the soul that rests in His faithful care. If it needs a million miracles to lead them to the very right choice, they shall be forthcoming, for the Lord can overrule the ordinary ways of Providence to perform His good word and bring the expected end.

You shall guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to Glory. Even now, though your children cannot see which roof the Lord has marked for them, He yields not His judgment to their hurried logic. Yield your will to His, and let them yield theirs. The most perilous position is to have every wish fulfilled exactly as the flesh would choose, better to be led, step by step, even when the way seems to lead further from your door, for true glory belongs only to those who let God guide. Yet lay the request before Him with strong crying: He knows your desire to have them near, and He is not far from any one of you.

As for the order and structure you crave, to be closely pressed by a crowd of duties does not tend to peace of spirit. When the tasks press in a throng and there seems so much to be done all at once, look not to a thousand places for help. Do not run to neighbors or to your own anxious striving, but go to your Father’s house and to your Elder Brother. "What would Jesus do?" This, asked with a spiritual mind, becomes the best guide when you are in difficulty as to the next thing. Measure the rooms not by appearances, but measure yourselves by the law of the house, for holiness becomes His house, and order flows from a heart set upon His Glory. He gives power to the faint, and if you have seen your own incapacity, you are all the more likely to rise to strength.

The living God is not far from you. He waits to be gracious. Only come with your burdens and your coldness of spirit, just as you are, for peace and pardon immediately follow trust in Jesus.

You ask for prayer for protection and peace, for your children's house purchase, and for strength to order your own home. These are not small things, but consider what great peace truly is. The peace that Christ gives is not a mere absence of trouble; it is the mother of all good things, the foundation of joy. Where the head is in harmony with the body, where Christ reigns in the heart, there all other members find their rest. Yet we often turn all our zeal to the earth we must soon leave, giving our very blood for a few acres, while we will not part with even what is beyond our wants to purchase Heaven. Before you seek a house of stone, seek first the house not made with hands. For He that built all things is God, and the builder has more honor than the house. If your children desire a dwelling, let them desire above all to be themselves a well-ordered household, where husband and wife agree together in love, and their children are in subjection with all gravity. For a man and his wife that agree, this is more precious than wealth or rank or any earthly advantage. Where love is, no discord finds admittance.

You long for them to be near you, that you may meet often. This is a natural affection, but do not mistake nearness of body for nearness of heart. The true household is the Church, and in it there is no distance. Even if they were separated by many miles, if they are one with you in faith and love, they are closer than those who share a roof but not the fear of God. And if they should purchase a house farther than you wish, do not despair. Perhaps it is God’s will that they build their own household under His headship, so that both houses may stand as small churches, each well-ruled for Him. Pray rather that they be kept from the wrong purchase, not only of a house, but of any path that leads away from Christ. For the Master of the house was called Beelzebub, and how much more they of His household? Let them look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and He will guide their steps.

As for your own home, you seek strength to bring order and structure. This is a good aim, for he that cannot rule his own house, how shall he take care of anything else? Yet know that the outward order is but a shadow; first set your inner house in array. Sweep out the passions, furnish the soul with patience, and let Christ dwell there richly. When the inner man is at peace, the hands will move with purpose. Do not be troubled if the work is slow. The life of seclusion and study, which I once shared with Basil, taught me that bodily discipline has its place, but the soul must be the ruler. If you have the Angel of peace with you, you need fear no demon of disorder. Therefore, in all things, seek that peace which passes understanding, the peace that Christ left to His disciples. It is not a peace that says, “All is quiet,” while sin remains, but a peace that cuts off the diseased and unites heaven to earth. So then, work as one who builds for eternity, not merely for a comfortable life.

Let your prayer be chiefly this: that you and your children may be counted worthy of the household of God, where Christ is the builder, and that in every earthly dwelling you may show forth the order of that better house. For if you seek first the kingdom, all these other things, protection, a right purchase, strength, will be added. And to those who make peace, even in the smallest corners of their daily life, the promise is sure: they shall be called the sons of God.

His word assures us that He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are set on Him, a peace the world can’t give and can’t understand.

This peace begins with being right with God, a gift secured through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Because He has made peace through His blood, we are no longer at war with our Creator. That profound inner rest is the foundation for everything else. From that place, you can confidently lift up your children’s house purchase. God is not a distant observer; He is a loving Father who delights in guiding His children. Trust that He will indeed protect them from a wrong path and lead them to the choice that aligns with His perfect will. The desire to be near them is natural and good, reflecting a home where love and support are tangible blessings. Pray for a home that honors God, for a dwelling filled with the true riches of His kingdom, which never fade. A home built on that foundation is a place of genuine security.

For your own situation, the very strength and energy you need are promised by God. He gives strength to His people and blesses them with peace. Ask the Lord to settle deeply into your heart, to make Himself so at home there that His order overcomes any inner chaos. When Christ dwells comfortably within us, the external clutter and need for structure begin to be brought into alignment by His Spirit. It’s not about sudden perfection, but a daily leaning on His everlasting strength. You will find the energy not in your own reserves, but as you wait on Him, moment by moment. He will ordain peace for you, bringing calm direction where there was once only a sense of being overwhelmed. May you experience His guidance as a protecting presence and His strength as your daily portion.
