Prayer request

I hear the deep pain in your words, the raw anguish of being wronged and seeing no remedy. When someone takes advantage of trust, spins a web of lies, and leaves your family crushed under a financial weight that grows heavier by the day, it can feel like the very ground has given way. Worse, it can make you wonder if God is silent, powerless, or simply indifferent.

The cry “Why does God not act?” is not a stranger to the Scriptures. Men and women of faith have asked it throughout history. And in those moments, the answer God gives is not always the swift hammer of visible judgment, but an invitation to trust what cannot yet be seen. Faith, in its truest form, is precisely that: the substance of things hoped for, the conviction of realities beyond our sight. When every visible sign says injustice is winning, faith clings to the promise that God is still the Judge of all the earth who will do right.

You have laid out a detailed list of punishments you long to see fall on those who defrauded you. That desire for immediate earthly payback is understandable, but it must be placed at the feet of the One who says, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” Our role is not to script the discipline of the wicked. God’s justice is perfect, and His timing is woven into a story far larger than this single chapter. Sometimes He withholds immediate consequences, not because He is powerless, but because His patience is meant to lead to repentance. And even if no repentance comes on this side of death, the final judgment is neither delayed nor defective. It will be thorough, righteous, and inescapable.

Right now, your faith is battered. You feel hope has died and faith has shrunk to zero. But notice what faith actually is: it is a gift God planted in your heart, authored and finished by Jesus Himself. It does not thrive on visible victories alone. Abraham was counted righteous when he believed God’s promise that seemed impossible. He looked at his aging body and a barren womb, and yet he did not waver in unbelief. His faith gave glory to God because he was fully convinced that what God had promised, God was able to perform. That same faith is held out to you. It is not blind optimism; it sees far more than a mind stuck on immediate circumstances. It fixes its eyes on the risen Christ, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

You ask if honesty is now a poor policy, whether suffering for doing right means God has abandoned you. The faithful of old would say otherwise. Some conquered kingdoms; others were tortured, destitute, afflicted, of whom the world was not worthy. They all died in faith, not having received the full promise, but having seen it from afar. Your faith is being proved right now in the fire of this trial. That proving is not for God’s benefit, He already knows your heart, but it refines you, burns away false hopes, and anchors you in the one hope that can never be shaken.

Let go of the idea that unless God brings the specific punishments you have envisioned, He is not just. Let go of the demand that the wicked couple must suffer a certain way before you can trust again. That is not the ground on which a believer stands. Our righteousness is not based on the wickeds’ fate or our bank balance. It is solely through faith in Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us. A genuine faith will always produce a changed life, patience, forgiveness, endurance, but those works do not earn salvation. They are the fruit of a faith that holds on even when the waves crash.

The money, the gold loan, the swelling interest, these are heavy, and I do not minimize them. But they belong to the world that can be shaken. The kingdom you have received in Christ cannot be moved. Everything that can be shaken will be removed so that only what is unshakeable remains. Hold fast to that kingdom. Ask God not solely for the return of the money, but for a faith that outlasts the loss. Ask Him to keep you from the poison of bitterness, which will destroy far more than a financial debt ever could.

God is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient. The final chapter has not yet closed. The wicked do not escape. And your honesty before Him is not wasted, He sees it, and your labor in the Lord is never in vain. Let your prayer be reoriented: not that you dictate the form of earthly punishment, but that God’s will be done, that He would sustain you, and that in the end His justice and mercy would be displayed in ways that leave no doubt He reigns.

I will stand with you in prayer that the full amount owed is returned, that provision comes even from unexpected sources, and that the other needs of your family, employment, marriage, ministry, are met according to His riches in glory. But above all, I pray that the testing of your faith will result in a deeper, unshakeable trust in the God who raised Jesus from the dead. That is the faith that saves, that sustains, and that will never be put to shame.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for sharing your heavy burden with us. We have stood in agreement with you these past days, lifting your situation before our Heavenly Father, asking Him to intervene in this painful injustice and bring restoration to your family. We prayed specifically that the full amount owed to you—with rightful interest—would be returned without further loss, that the lies and deception would be exposed, and that the gold loan burden would be lifted from your shoulders.

We also prayed fervently that God would break the hardness of heart in this couple, that they would face the consequences of their actions not as punishment alone but as a means of turning them back to repentance. We asked the Lord to protect your family from despair, to restore your hope and faith, and to remind you that His justice is perfect even when it feels slow. We lifted up each family member by name, asking God to provide stable employment, open doors for education, and guide the upcoming marriage and government examination according to His will.

Most of all, we prayed that you would feel God’s presence in your suffering—that even in this trial, He is working for your good and His glory. We asked Him to strengthen your trust in His timing and to help you see that He has not forgotten you. If your prayers have been answered and the situation has changed, we rejoice with you and invite you to share a praise report so we can celebrate together. If the burden remains heavy and the answers have not yet come, we encourage you to post this request again as a new prayer so we can continue standing with you in faith.

May the Lord bless you with peace that surpasses understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may you experience His provision and justice in ways that deepen your faith. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
