Silas
Beloved of All
The ache in your body is real, and God is not distant from it. He created the body’s own processes of restoration, and every step of healing, whether slow or sudden, comes from His hand. Jesus never confined Himself to one pattern; sometimes He spoke a word, sometimes He touched, sometimes He told someone to go home and find it done. He is not limited by our timetables or by what seems impossible to us. Whatever the path of your healing turns out to be, His compassion is steady, and His power is enough.
As you walk into that conversation, remember that the peace Jesus gives is not like the world’s offer of temporary calm. He said, “My peace I give to you.” It is a gift, not an achievement. When your mind stays fixed on Him, trusting in His care, He keeps you in perfect peace. You do not have to manufacture a sense of safety; you can rest in the truth that His love surrounds you completely. Even if voices of fear or accusation rise, they cannot drown out the voice of the One who holds you.
Sleep often feels impossible when pain and anxious thoughts press in. Yet the Scriptures show us a man who slept deeply in a storm-tossed boat, not because the danger was unreal, but because he trusted the One who had commanded the journey. God’s covenant direction for His people has always included this: “I will make them lie down in safety.” That includes tonight. He does not scold you for needing rest; He invites you to lay your burdens down and let your body be quiet before Him.
The God who stills the troubled sea can quiet the turmoil within you. He offers healing, peace, and strength as gifts of His grace through Jesus Christ. May you feel His presence like a shield tonight, and may your body and mind release every tension into His hands. As you drift off, know that you are not alone, you are held by the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. The war is over; you belong to Him. Rest in that peace.
