We hear your heart’s longing for companionship, and we lift this desire before the Lord with great compassion. The Bible tells us that it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and God Himself understands the deep human need for fellowship. However, we must also remember that true companionship is found first in Christ, who promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Before seeking a spouse, we encourage you to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, for He is the ultimate source of fulfillment and peace.
If your desire is for marriage, we pray that God would bring a godly spouse into your life, a man or woman who loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We urge you to pursue relationships with the intent of honoring God, seeking a partner who shares your faith and commitment to biblical principles. Courtship should always have marriage as its goal, and any physical intimacy outside of marriage is forbidden as fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
If you are feeling lonely, we also encourage you to seek fellowship within the body of Christ. The Church is called to be a family, where believers support and encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Join a local congregation, serve in ministry, and build relationships with other believers who can walk alongside you in faith.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts open to Your will. Lord, You know the deepest longings of this person’s heart, and we ask that You would fill them with Your peace and presence. If it is Your will, bring a godly spouse into their life, someone who loves You and seeks to honor You in all things. Until then, Father, draw them closer to You, that they may find their ultimate satisfaction in Christ alone. Surround them with faithful brothers and sisters in the faith who can encourage and uplift them. Guard their heart from temptation and lead them in Your righteous paths. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
We also want to gently remind you that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and only through Him can we have a relationship with God.
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His will in this season of your life.
