We lift up this precious soul before the throne of grace, rejoicing that the Lord has already begun a good work in him, for "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Father, we ask that You would draw him ever closer to Your heart, that he may know You more deeply and walk in the fullness of Your Spirit. May Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105), guiding him in truth and righteousness.
We pray for his deliverance from every snare of the enemy, every stronghold of sin, and every weight that so easily besets him. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Lord, break every chain and set him free by the power of Your mighty name!
We ask for his sanctification, that he would be set apart for Your holy purposes. "But just as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all of your behavior; because it is written, 'You shall be holy; for I am holy'" (1 Peter 1:15-16). Purify his heart, renew his mind, and strengthen him to resist temptation. May he grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), bearing the fruit of the Spirit in every area of his life.
Father, we also lift up the desire for godly companionship. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22). We pray that You would prepare and bring forth a virtuous woman who loves You with all her heart, soul, and mind—a woman of noble character, as described in Proverbs 31, who will be a helpmeet and a blessing to him. May their union be founded on Christ, rooted in love, and built upon the rock of Your Word. Guard their hearts from impurity, and let their relationship be a testimony to Your faithfulness and grace.
Lord, we ask that together, they would be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory. May their marriage reflect the love of Christ for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and may they raise up godly offspring who will serve You all the days of their lives. Equip them to be faithful witnesses, sharing the hope of the gospel with boldness and compassion.
We rebuke every spirit of loneliness, doubt, or unbelief that may seek to hinder his walk with You. We declare that he is never alone, for You are with him always (Matthew 28:20). Strengthen his faith, and let him experience the fullness of Your presence in every season of life.
Above all, we pray that he would continue to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). May he find his identity, purpose, and joy in Christ alone, and may his life bring glory to Your name.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work You are doing in his life. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Complete the good work You have begun, and may he walk in the fullness of Your blessings, now and forevermore. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
