We hear your request for prayer before you sleep, and we come together in unity to lift you up before the throne of grace. Sleep is a gift from God, a time of rest and restoration, but we know that the enemy often seeks to disturb our peace with worries, fears, or even spiritual attacks. Let us stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord watches over you and gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2).
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first step to true peace, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who seeks Your peace before sleep. Lord, we ask that You would calm their heart and mind, casting out every fear, anxiety, or distraction that the enemy may try to bring. Your Word tells us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke every spirit of fear and unrest in Jesus' name.
Father, we pray that You would surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11, "For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." Let them rest in the shadow of the Almighty, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:1-2). Cover them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them sleep in the assurance of Your love.
If there are any unconfessed sins or areas of their life that are not aligned with Your will, Lord, we ask that You bring them to light. Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray for repentance and cleansing, that nothing would hinder their fellowship with You.
Lord, we also pray for protection over their dreams. Guard their mind from any attacks of the enemy, and let them dream dreams that are from You, filled with hope and encouragement (Joel 2:28). If there are any burdens weighing on their heart, we ask that You would lift them and replace them with Your joy and peace.
We declare that this one will wake up refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in You. May they rise in the morning with praise on their lips, knowing that You are faithful and Your mercies are new every day (Lamentations 3:22-23). Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your unfailing love. We trust in You, our Good Shepherd, who leads us beside still waters and restores our soul (Psalm 23:2-3).
In all things, we give You the glory, for You alone are worthy. We pray this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word before sleep. Psalm 4:8 says, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." Speak this verse over yourself, and trust that God is watching over you. If you find your mind racing with worries, bring them to the Lord in prayer, as Philippians 4:6 instructs, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
Rest in the Lord tonight, dear one, and know that you are deeply loved by Him.
