We hear your heart’s deep concern for your boyfriend and his little brother, and we lift them up before the Lord with earnest prayer. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone, and it is the first step toward true peace and hope.
Now, regarding your request, we sense your fear and uncertainty about what has happened. The Bible tells us, *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). We do not know the details, but God does, and He is sovereign over every situation. We stand in the gap for your boyfriend and his brother, praying that the Lord would surround them with His protection, wisdom, and comfort.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young man and his little brother. Lord, You know the circumstances they are facing, and we ask that You would intervene with Your divine protection. Shield them from harm, both seen and unseen, and grant them safety in every area of their lives. If there is danger, confusion, or hardship, we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Surround them with Your angels, as it is written, *"For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11 WEB). Give them wisdom to make choices that honor You, and draw their hearts closer to You, Lord.
We also lift up this relationship before You. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this courtship is not moving toward marriage with a shared commitment to Christ, we must gently but firmly encourage you to seek the Lord’s will for your future. The Bible warns, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If your boyfriend does not share your faith in Jesus, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether this relationship aligns with God’s best for you. Your heart’s desire should be to marry a godly spouse who will lead you both closer to the Lord.
Father, we ask that You would work in the heart of this young man. If he does not know You, draw him to salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. If he is a believer, strengthen his faith and help him to lead with integrity, love, and wisdom. For his little brother, we pray that You would be his comfort, his guide, and his protector. May he grow up knowing Your love and walking in Your truth.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or harm that may be trying to touch their lives. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
In the days ahead, seek the Lord diligently for clarity and direction. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to reveal His will for your life and this relationship. Trust that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). If this relationship is not of Him, He will make it clear in His perfect timing. If it is, He will strengthen and bless it according to His design.
May the Lord fill you with His peace as you wait on Him. Remember, *"The Lord is near to all those who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth"* (Psalm 145:18 WEB). Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
