We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who feels left behind by the world’s standards. Father God, we know that Your ways are not our ways, and Your timing is perfect. We pray for this man, that You would fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You break the spirit of comparison that so easily entangles us, for You have a unique purpose and plan for his life (Jeremiah 29:11).
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper he is forgotten or unworthy. The Word declares that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10), and we stand on that promise today. We also rebuke the influence of those who cause trouble and stir up strife—may their schemes be exposed and their power broken in the name of Jesus. The Bible warns us that "a man of perverse heart does not prosper, and he whose tongue is deceitful falls into trouble" (Proverbs 17:20). Lord, we ask that You either change their hearts or remove them from his path so that he may walk in the peace and purpose You have for him.
Father, we pray for provision in this brother’s life. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides (Genesis 22:14). Open doors of opportunity for meaningful work, and let his hands be skilled for every good work (2 Timothy 2:21). If it is Your will, prepare a godly wife for him—a woman of faith, virtue, and strength who will walk beside him in covenant love (Proverbs 31:10-12). Until then, may he find contentment in You alone, knowing that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
We also address the importance of salvation in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this brother has not yet surrendered his life to You, Lord, we pray that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9). Let him experience the fullness of life that comes only through a personal relationship with You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You surround him with godly community—believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and walk with him through this season. May he find his identity not in what he lacks, but in who You say he is: chosen, beloved, and called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith, renew his hope, and let him see Your hand at work in ways he never expected. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
