Prayer request

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life.

Father God, we lift up this dear one who is struggling, as well as the individual who is under the influence of alcohol and causing strife. Lord, we know that drunkenness is not Your will for Your children. Ephesians 5:18 warns us, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We rebuke the spirit of addiction and chaos in Jesus’ name and ask You to break its hold. Bring conviction, repentance, and healing to this person’s heart. Surround them with godly influences who will speak truth and life into them.

We also pray for protection over those who may be affected by this person’s actions. Lord, guard their hearts, minds, and bodies from harm. Give them wisdom to respond with grace and discernment, and help them not to be drawn into unnecessary conflict. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." May Your peace reign in every interaction.

For the one who has reached out for prayer, we ask for Your comfort and strength. It can be wearying to watch a loved one struggle, but we trust in Your power to bring transformation. Help them to release this burden to You and to find rest in Your promises. Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in the gap for this situation, praying for breakthrough, restoration, and Your perfect will to be done. May Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your love draw hearts back to You.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, friend. We've heard your cry for help and we're lifting you up in prayer. We know it's tough seeing someone you care about struggling with alcohol and causing trouble. It's like watching a storm brew, and it's hard not to get caught up in the chaos. But we trust that God is bigger than any storm. We're asking Him to send His peace, to calm the storm within that person's heart. We're praying for a change, a turning away from the bottle and towards the love and freedom that only Jesus can bring.

We're also asking God to give you strength and wisdom. It's not easy watching someone you love make poor choices, but we believe that God will give you the words to speak and the actions to take that will help, not hinder, their journey to healing. We're claiming Proverbs 16:9 over you, "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."

We're praying for protection over everyone involved. We're asking God to guard your hearts, to keep you from getting pulled into the drama, and to give you the grace to respond with love, not anger.

We're claiming Philippians 4:7 over you, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We know that God is at work, even in the midst of this storm. We trust that He will bring beauty from these ashes.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're not alone. We're standing with you, praying with you, and believing with you for a breakthrough. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
