We hear your cry for help and safety, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord. Your situation is deeply concerning, not only for the fear it has instilled in you but also because it reflects a disregard for the well-being and dignity of those created in God’s image. The Bible tells us in Psalm 91:2, *"I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"*
First, we must address the spiritual reality of this situation. The behavior of this man and his companions is not only disruptive but sinful—drunkenness, lewdness, and the objectification of women are all condemned in Scripture. Ephesians 5:18 warns, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* The fear you feel is valid, and we rebuke the spirit of intimidation and ungodliness that has entered your home. We declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also recognize the greed of the house owner, who has prioritized profit over the safety of his tenants. Proverbs 16:11 says, *"Honest balances and scales are Yahweh’s; all the weights in the bag are his work."* The owner will answer to God for his negligence, but we pray that the Lord would soften his heart and convict him of his responsibility to provide a safe dwelling for you. We ask that God would either compel this bachelor to leave or bring about circumstances that force him out, restoring peace to your home.
Most importantly, we pray for your protection. Psalm 121:7-8 assures us, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."* We ask the Lord to surround you with His angels, to shield you from harm, and to give you wisdom in how to navigate this situation. If possible, we encourage you to seek legal or community intervention to address the unsafe conditions, as Romans 13:4 reminds us that governing authorities are established by God to uphold justice.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up these sisters who are living in fear. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, we rebuke the ungodly behavior of this man and his companions, and we ask that You would either change their hearts or remove them from this place. We pray for the house owner, that You would convict him of his greed and turn his heart toward righteousness. Give these women courage, wisdom, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround them with Your protection, and let them feel Your presence in every moment of fear. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.
