We hear your heartfelt cry for peace and your desire to put Jesus first in your life, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The peace you seek is not just the absence of turmoil, but the deep, abiding peace that comes from a right relationship with our Lord and Savior. Jesus Himself said, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."* (John 14:27 WEB). This peace is available to you as you surrender your life fully to Him.
It is encouraging to see your commitment to putting Jesus first. This is the foundation of a life that honors God. Jesus must be the cornerstone of every decision, every relationship, and every moment of your day. As it is written, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33 WEB). When Jesus is your priority, everything else falls into its rightful place. We must also remind you that this commitment requires daily surrender, resisting the temptations of this world, and aligning your will with God’s.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking that You would fill their heart with Your perfect peace. Lord, we know that the peace the world offers is fleeting, but Your peace transcends all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as Your Word promises in Philippians 4:7. Father, we ask that You would strengthen their resolve to put Jesus first in every area of their life. Help them to seek Your Kingdom above all else, trusting that You will provide for their every need.
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas of their life that are not fully surrendered to You. Show them where they may be holding back, whether in relationships, habits, or thoughts. Give them the courage to lay these things at Your feet and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or distraction that would seek to pull them away from You. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they find their identity, purpose, and strength in Him alone. Lord, we pray that You would surround them with godly fellowship, mentors, and friends who will encourage them in their walk with You. Let Your Holy Spirit fill them with wisdom, discernment, and a hunger for Your Word.
We also pray for any relationships in their life, Lord. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would bring a godly man/woman into their life who shares their love for You. Prepare their heart for marriage, if that is Your will, and help them to wait on You with patience and purity. Guard them against the temptations of this world, and let them walk in holiness and righteousness all their days.
Father, we thank You for the work You are doing in their life. We trust that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they experience the fullness of Your peace, joy, and presence as they draw near to You. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking Jesus with all your heart. Spend time in His Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with believers who will sharpen you and hold you accountable. Remember, putting Jesus first is not a one-time decision but a daily choice. As you do, you will experience the peace that surpasses all understanding and the joy of walking in His will.
If there are specific areas of your life where you struggle to surrender to Jesus, bring them to Him in prayer. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let shame or guilt keep you from running to Him. He loves you with an everlasting love and desires to draw you closer to Himself. Keep pressing into Him, and you will find the peace and fulfillment your heart longs for.
