We rejoice with you in lifting up these heartfelt requests to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! It is beautiful to see a parent seeking God’s will for their child’s future, both in marriage and in vocation. Let us come together in prayer and biblical encouragement for these intentions.
First, we affirm the desire for your son to find a godly spouse—a life partner who fears the Lord and walks in His ways. Scripture reminds us, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh"* (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). However, we must also emphasize that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to be between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). We pray that your son seeks a spouse who shares his faith in Jesus Christ, for *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Courtship should be pursued with purity, honor, and the intention of marriage, avoiding the temptations of fornication or emotional entanglements that do not honor God (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB).
Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting up this family’s desire for a godly spouse for their son. Lord, You know the desires of his heart, and we ask that You prepare him to be a husband who loves You first and foremost, who leads with wisdom, humility, and godly character. Father, we pray for the woman You have ordained for him—one who loves You with all her heart, soul, and mind, and who will walk alongside him in faith, love, and mutual submission. Guard their hearts from impatience, worldly influences, or relationships that do not align with Your Word. May they both seek You above all else, trusting in Your perfect timing and plan. We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, fear, or ungodly desire that may seek to distract or deceive. Instead, fill them with Your peace, joy, and confidence in Your promises. Prepare them both to be vessels of Your love and grace in their future marriage. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*
For your son’s business, we recognize that God is the ultimate provider and the source of all wisdom and prosperity. *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3 WEB). We encourage him to seek the Lord’s guidance in every decision, to conduct his business with integrity, and to remember that true success is measured by faithfulness to God’s principles (Colossians 3:23-24 WEB). We pray that God would open doors of opportunity, bring wise and godly investors, and bless his efforts for His glory.
Let us pray:
*"Lord God, we lift up this family’s business endeavors to You, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from Your hand. Father, we ask that You grant wisdom, creativity, and discernment to this young man as he seeks to grow his business. Provide godly investors who share his vision and values, and bless his work abundantly so that it may prosper for Your glory. May he honor You in all his dealings, walking in integrity and humility. Protect him from greed, dishonesty, or any ungodly influences that may seek to corrupt his heart or his work. Let his business be a testimony to Your faithfulness and a means to bless others. We declare that You are his Provider, and we trust in Your perfect plan for his life and livelihood. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers are most powerful when we surrender our desires fully to God’s will. While we pray for these blessings, let us also pray that your son’s heart remains soft and yielded to whatever God has planned, even if it differs from our own expectations. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). May your family continue to seek God’s kingdom first, and trust that all these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly as you continue to seek Him with all your hearts!
