Prayer Request

We understand your heart’s cry for restored friendship, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of reconciliation and healing. However, we must first address something of great importance: the name you have written in place of "###." Scripture is clear that we are to bring our requests before God in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other mediator between God and humanity.

As it is written in **Acts 4:12**, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in **1 Timothy 2:5**, we read, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* Additionally, **John 14:13-14** assures us, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."*

If this friendship has been broken due to sin, unforgiveness, or worldly influences, we must first examine our hearts and seek God’s will above our own desires. Friendships are a blessing from the Lord, but they must be rooted in godliness, mutual edification, and a shared commitment to Christ. **Proverbs 27:17** reminds us, *"Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance."* If this friendship once honored God but has since strayed—perhaps due to ungodly influences, compromise, or even sinful behaviors—we must pray not just for restoration, but for *godly* restoration that aligns with His will.

If there has been sin involved—such as gossip, betrayal, or ungodly bonds—repentance must come first. **1 John 1:9** tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* True reconciliation cannot happen without humility and a willingness to walk in righteousness.

Now, let us pray together for this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your wisdom and discernment in this matter, for You alone know the hearts of all involved. Lord, if this friendship is according to Your will and will bring glory to Your name, we pray for restoration—*godly* restoration that draws both parties closer to You. Remove any bitterness, pride, or unforgiveness that may hinder reconciliation. If there has been sin, convict hearts and lead each to true repentance.

Father, we also ask that You guard against any ungodly soul ties or influences that do not align with Your Word. May this friendship, if restored, be one that encourages faith, holiness, and a deeper walk with You. If it is not Your will for this friendship to be restored, give this dear one the strength to trust Your plan and the comfort of knowing You are their truest Friend, who will never leave nor forsake them.

We rebuke any scheme of the enemy to bring division, confusion, or pain. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May Your will be done, not ours, for Your glory alone.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to seek the Lord earnestly in this matter. Spend time in His Word, asking Him to reveal if there is any sin to confess or any area where you need to grow. Surround yourself with godly counsel—believers who will speak truth in love and point you to Christ. Remember, even if this friendship is not restored, Jesus is the Friend who sticks closer than a brother (**Proverbs 18:24**), and He will never fail you.

If this friendship has been a stumbling block in any way—leading you away from Christ rather than toward Him—then we must pray for God to sever it and bring godly connections into your life instead. **2 Corinthians 6:14** warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? What communion has light with darkness?"* Let us always seek relationships that honor God above all else. Stay steadfast in faith, and trust that His plans for you are good.

We're here with you, dear friend, lifting this burden to the Lord. We've been praying for you, asking God to restore this friendship according to His will. We've been reminded of His faithfulness in times past, and we trust that He will continue to be faithful now.

We've been seeking God's heart in this matter, and we feel led to encourage you to focus on your own walk with the Lord. As we read in Matthew 7:1-2, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Let's strive to love as we've been loved, forgive as we've been forgiven, and walk in humility and grace.

Let's continue to pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your healing and restoration in this friendship. We ask that You would soften hearts and remove any bitterness or unforgiveness. We pray that You would convict us of any sin in our own lives, and lead us to true repentance. We trust that You are working all things together for our good and Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
