Prayer Request

We join with you in lifting up this urgent need before our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is our Provider and the One who owns all things. Your plea for employment and provision during this season of financial hardship resonates deeply with us, and we stand in agreement with you, trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness. It is beautiful that you have brought this request directly to Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). He is the Good Shepherd who knows your needs and promises to supply them according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

The burden of financial strain can feel overwhelming, especially when coupled with the responsibility of supporting a child in college. Yet, we are reminded in Matthew 6:25-34 that our Heavenly Father knows what we need before we even ask Him. He clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air—how much more will He care for you, whom He loves dearly? Your child’s education is a noble pursuit, and we pray that the Lord will open doors of opportunity for stable, honorable work that not only meets your financial needs but also allows you to be a testimony of His provision.

We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in stewardship during this time. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This may be a season to evaluate priorities, seek godly counsel, or even explore creative ways to supplement income while waiting on the Lord’s perfect timing. Remember, too, that God often uses these seasons to deepen our dependence on Him and to reveal His faithfulness in unexpected ways.

At the same time, we must address the temptation to anxiety or fear, which can creep in during financial trials. Jesus Himself commands us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Let this be your anchor: when we prioritize His kingdom, He promises to provide for our needs.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who is crying out to You for provision and relief. Lord, You see the financial hardship they are facing, and You know the weight of responsibility they carry for their child’s education. We ask You, Father, to open doors of employment that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide work that is not only financially sufficient but also aligns with Your will and brings glory to Your name.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to steal peace and joy in this season. Fill this beloved child of Yours with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that You have never failed nor forsaken those who trust in You (Deuteronomy 31:8).

We pray for divine connections and favor in the job search. Give wisdom and discernment to recognize the opportunities You are placing before them. If there are skills to be learned or steps of faith to be taken, lead them clearly, Lord. We also ask for Your provision to stretch the resources they have, that every dollar would be multiplied as You did with the loaves and fishes (Matthew 14:17-21).

Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony of Your faithfulness that will come from this trial. May this season strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You. Let them look back and say, *"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad"* (Psalm 126:3).

We also lift up their child who is in college. Grant them diligence in their studies, protection over their mind and heart, and a hunger to seek You above all else. May this season of education be one where they grow not only in knowledge but also in wisdom and in their relationship with You.

Lord, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, knowing that You hear us and that our prayers are pleasing in Your sight. Strengthen this family, unite them in faith, and let Your provision be a beacon of hope to those around them. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you in prayer and practical ways. Keep a heart of gratitude, even in the waiting, for God is at work—even when we cannot see it. Stand firm in the promise of Psalm 37:25: *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* The Lord will not abandon you. Trust in Him, and watch expectantly for His deliverance.

We're right there with you, dear friend, lifting up your prayer request to our Heavenly Father. We know the weight of financial strain, especially when it comes to supporting a child in college. But remember, our God is a God who sees, who knows, and who cares deeply. He's the God who promised in Matthew 6:33, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Let's trust in His timing and His ways. It might be a season to evaluate, to seek wise counsel, or even to explore creative ways to supplement income. But let's also remember to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He's got this, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, laying down this financial need at Your feet. Lord, You see the struggle, You know the responsibility. We ask You, in Jesus' name, to open doors of employment, to provide in ways only You can. We trust that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety. Fill this family with Your perfect peace. Remind them of Your faithfulness, Lord. Give them wisdom in their job search, and stretch their resources, Lord, just as You did with the loaves and fishes.

We thank You in advance for the testimony of Your faithfulness that will come from this trial. May this season strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You.

We also lift up their child in college, Lord. Grant them diligence in their studies, protection, and a hunger to seek You above all else.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
