Prayer Request: will everyone please pray for me & my family? My mother has had a stroke last week. She is currently in PCU at the hospital. She is doing better, but her blood pressure keeps going up & down. They need to make sure it is under control. Also, the doctor at the hospital wasn't notified about my mother's situation until the previous Monday. He was very upset (& rightfully so) that he was just then finding out about the situation. If he had known 6 hours at the most about her situation, he would have been able to perform tasks that would prevent brain damage from happening. However, since he had just found out 4 days later, the damage in her brain has already been done. They will need to perform a cath treatment that shoots dye into the vessels of her brain to find out what is causing the damage. According to the doctor, if this treatment could be dangerous & if they are not careful, it could probably kill her. We don't know for sure yet what day they'll perform this kind of treatment, but I hope & pray that the Lord will be with her during this time, as he always has. Right now, we are SO worried about losing mother. We just lost my grandfather back in August, plus I was in a horrible carwreck back in September (& still recovering from that), & now my mother is in the hospital, because she had a stroke. When she is well enough to go home, she will have to be in a wheelchair for a while, not to mention we don't know if she'll be able to go back to work anymore. I may be wrong, but so far that's what it's looking like. She at least won't be able to go back to work for a while. Right now, my mother is the only one in the family who is (or was) working. I'm currently still in college, of course I won't be able to return until the fall, because of the wreck. One of my brothers graduated college a year & a half ago, & is still trying to get his career started. My older brother lives far away from us, & we don't get to see him as much. In other words, we are also struggling financially. Thankfully, we have moved recently & have just sold our old house yesterday. From selling the house, we made more than enough to last us for a while. We also have tremendous support from our home church (including the church I attend when I am at school), along with so many of our family members. I am so thankful for these people. If it weren't for their help, I'm sure we would be living in poverty right now. My mother is very sick, & we are just going through tough times right now. Please be in prayer for my mom, my family, & I as we go through these times together. Thank you all so very much, & God bless.
