Thank you all praying for me previously on this. I repost it because i was still having frequent sleep wakeups due to the uncertainty, regrets for former portfolio, juggling on recent department situation and pressure on new friendships & romance relationship due to my ### y/o age. I recently applied for switch department internally after a year. I like the portfolio coz it gave me the fulfillment, but often due to the job structure, they require me to prioritize counter and handle portfolio outpatient jobs when free. So i juggle between time everyday until i often work out of office hours. It left me feeling empty after finish my tasks, feeling a lot of the time why i couldnt handle portfolio mostly uninterrupted at my office hours. I dont know how to make new frens or meet my soul mate but i dont want to end up living my life just working even during weekends for this coz im over responsible for my personality. Eventually i decided to write in to transfer. Everyone was shocked because most thought my performance is good but after switching, i discover maybe i do have strength in my previous portfolio and the new portfolio inpatient job lacks fulfilment although its difficulty much lesser than my old one. Now im in a dilemma, admitting i kinda feel regret if i made the wrong choice. I do like the previous portfolio giving me confidence and fulfilment, but it probably affects my health alot. But in the new department, i stands a lot and it sores my feet. The department is very small, and not challenging as mine older portfolio. Could you help me pray, coz im unsure if i made the wrong decision. Im stucked after a year, that i could meet new frens or suitable guy to be my partner. Thats why im depressed.

We continue to pray for you and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us again. We hear the weariness in your words, the frequent waking in the night, the uncertainty and regret over your former portfolio, the juggling and pressure in your work, and the deep longing for friendship and for a godly marriage while feeling the weight of your age and the passing of time. We want to lift all of this before the Lord together with you.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find peace.

Your struggle with sleep, regret, and feeling stuck is something God sees. He invites us to cast our cares on Him. In Philippians 4:6-7 we read, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember Psalm 127:2, for he gives sleep to his loved ones, and Psalm 4:8, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and regret that robs you of rest, and we pray you will learn to trust His sovereign hand over every decision, even when you wonder if you chose wrongly.

Regarding your work, we understand the dilemma. The former portfolio gave you fulfillment and confidence and used your strengths, but it also demanded you work beyond office hours, even on weekends, leaving you empty and affecting your health. The new inpatient portfolio is less difficult but less fulfilling, physically tiring for your feet, small and not challenging. God cares about both your calling and your health. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and you are to honor God with it. Over-responsibility that leads to constant overwork is not what He requires. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. We encourage you to seek wisdom from the Lord for your next step, whether to remain and grow where you are, to seek a better balance within your former portfolio, or to trust Him with a new path. In James 1:5 we are promised, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. And in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Seek counsel from wise believers and supervisors as well, and remember that God can use either place for your good.

We also hear your loneliness and your desire not to live life only working, and your longing to meet new friends and a suitable guy to be your partner. We want to encourage you biblically here. God created marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we pray for a godly marriage for you rather than just a partnership or romance without purpose. Courtship should be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 we are told, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and in Proverbs 18:22, Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. We encourage you to look for a godly husband who loves Christ, and to pursue purity, for sex before or outside marriage is fornication and does not honor God, and is reserved for marriage alone. We pray you will not be driven by pressure about age, but will trust God’s perfect timing, for in Ecclesiastes 3:11, He has made everything beautiful in its time, and in Psalm 139:14, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Your value is not measured by your marital status or your portfolio, but by being His beloved child. For friendship, we pray God brings faithful Christian community around you, for in Proverbs 18:24, there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our sister to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You know her nights of broken sleep, her uncertainty, her regrets, her weariness from juggling responsibilities, and her longing for companionship. We ask You to grant her Your peace that surpasses understanding to guard her heart and mind, and to give her deep and restful sleep in Your safety. Grant her wisdom liberally as she seeks direction for her department and portfolio, show her where her strengths are best used for Your glory while also protecting her health and allowing proper rest. Help her to set godly boundaries and not be overcome by over-responsibility, but to find her fulfillment first in You. Heal the soreness in her feet and refresh her body and spirit. Comfort her depression and feeling of being stuck, lift her hope as in Psalm 42:11, and remind her that You have plans for her welfare and hope in Jeremiah 29:11. Lord, provide her with true Christian friendships and, if it is Your will, bring a godly Christian man to be her husband, a marriage that honors You, kept pure and centered on Christ. Help her to wait patiently and pursue holiness. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to rest one day in seven as God modeled, to speak openly with a pastor or trusted mentor about your work situation, and to join in fellowship where friendships and godly courtship can grow naturally. Do not dwell on what is behind, but as in Philippians 3:13-14, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, press on toward the goal. God is not finished with your story and He will make your paths straight as you trust Him. We are continuing to pray for your peace, health, guidance, and joy.

We hear how heavy this past year has felt for you, and how much you have been carrying with the broken sleep, the uncertainty about the transfer, and the longing for friendship and a life partner. It makes sense you would feel torn and second guess the decision.

You describe it so clearly, the old portfolio gave you fulfillment and confidence but left you empty and working long hours, while the new one is lighter in some ways but less challenging and hard on your body, and neither has eased the loneliness. When a job change involves both gains and losses, regret and what if thoughts often come with it. That does not necessarily mean you chose wrong, it may mean you are still grieving what you left and learning what you need most now.

It could help to give yourself a little more time and space to sort this before making another big move. It may be useful to talk through your values and what fulfillment looks like for you with a trusted mentor or supervisor, and to notice which parts of each role fit your strengths and health best. Since you mention frequent waking, feeling depressed, and ongoing strain on your feet, we encourage you to also see your doctor or a counselor alongside prayer, so you have support for your sleep and overall wellbeing.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the exhaustion, the regret, and the desire to be known and loved. Grant rest at night, clarity for next steps at work, and kind companions along the way. Lead with Your wisdom and peace, and remind this heart it is not alone. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with tenderness and care. You speak of broken sleep and wakeful nights, of uncertainty and regret over a former portfolio that gave you fulfillment, of juggling duties at the counter and outpatient work until the hours stretch beyond what is healthful, and of the pressure you feel concerning friendships and the desire for a godly companion as the years advance. To feel empty after much labour, to stand with sore feet in a small and less challenging place, and to wonder whether you have chosen wrongly is a heavy trial, and it is no wonder that your spirit is cast down.

We would counsel you first concerning anxiety. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and diligent, as you have been, but do not be brought into a state of fretfulness and distress by external things. Anxiety, as you have proved in these wakeful nights, does not comfort and does not bring grist to the mill. It unfits you to meet the very difficulty which occasions it. To be over responsible in temperament is to be tempted to carry what God never asked you to carry alone. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and learn that quiet trust which leaves results with the Lord while you do faithfully what your hand finds to do in the hours He has given.

Concerning regret, it is natural to say with Job, oh that I were as in months past, when a former work gave confidence and joy. Such regrets are not always wise, and they are not always warranted by a real declension. The question is not only what you feel about the past, but what wisdom you will seek for the present. If regret leads you to seek the Lord more earnestly for guidance, it may be turned to good. If it only keeps you looking backward while you remain without counsel, of what use is it. Ask the Lord to show you whether this present difficulty is a season to endure and grow, or whether He would in His providence open a way to use again the strengths He has given you, but seek His will more than the mere feeling of fulfillment, and remember that He can make you a fitter instrument through whatever path He appoints.

Concerning loneliness and the longing for fellowship and for marriage, you are not alone in feeling alone. Our Lord Himself was left alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy, yet He could say, I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. His loneliness did not destroy Him, though it pained Him, and He knows yours. The desire for friends and for a partner in life is not wrong, but we pray that the Lord will keep you from making your life only work, even on weekends, and that He will lead you into wholesome fellowship among the people of God, where true friendships are formed. And as you desire a soul mate, we pray that if it be His will He would in His good time bring you a godly husband according to His design, that marriage being the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, entered into in purity and in the Lord, and that until then and always He would keep you in holiness, guarding both heart and body for that covenant alone.

Let us pray for you.

O Father, merciful and faithful, we come through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Mediator. Look upon this dear one who is wearied and anxious and tossed with indecision. Grant the peace that passes understanding to guard heart and mind and to give quiet sleep. Forgive the sins that burden the conscience and wash them away in the blood of Christ. Give wisdom concerning daily labour, that time and strength may be ordered aright and health preserved, and give counsel concerning this department, whether to remain and serve with contentment or to return to former work if it be lawful and wise. Heal the soreness of the body and the heaviness of the spirit. In loneliness, reveal Thy presence, that though friends may be few, Thou art near. Provide needful Christian fellowship and, according to Thy perfect will, prepare and provide a godly marriage in Thy time, keeping this life pure and honourable before Thee. Let not anxiety reign, but faith. Lift up the light of Thy countenance and make this tried one to rejoice again in Thy lovingkindness. In the name of Jesus our Lord we ask it, Amen.
