We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the concerns of our nation and its leadership. It is written in Proverbs 14:34, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." When a government turns away from justice, mercy, and the well-being of its own people, it invites destruction—not as a punishment from our hands, but as a consequence of straying from God’s design.
Father, we acknowledge that You are sovereign over all nations and rulers. You raise up leaders and You bring them down (Daniel 2:21). We pray for our government, that You would either turn their hearts back to You or remove those who persist in unrighteousness. We ask that You expose corruption, favoritism, and the neglect of Your people. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).
We also lift up the businesses and companies that have prioritized foreign labor over their own citizens, contributing to this imbalance. Lord, we ask that You either humble them to repentance or bring their unjust practices to an end. May they see the error of their ways and seek to honor You in how they employ and care for people. If they refuse, let their collapse serve as a warning to others.
But Father, we do not rejoice in destruction. We pray for revival—for hearts to turn back to You, for leaders to seek Your wisdom, and for Your people to rise up in prayer and righteous action. Let this season of hardship be a refining fire that purifies rather than destroys. Raise up godly men and women who will lead with integrity, compassion, and a heart for Your justice.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. Without Christ, we have no standing before You, no access to Your throne, and no hope of salvation. It is only through His blood, shed for us, that we are made righteous. If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as their Savior, we urge them to repent and believe in Him, for "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
Lord, have mercy on our nation. Restore what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
