A lot of elderly in our country are committing suicides due to the government

Good and Faithful Servant
A lot of elderly in our country are committing suicides by jumping off their flats due to the government idolatry over foreigners to boost the fertility rate and replace locals with foreigners as they have no pension, no money and no one to care for and the government kept increasing everything but provide good jobs only to the foreigners, locals are sidelined to contractual jobs as Macdonald crew, FnB.

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts break for the elderly in your nation who feel abandoned, hopeless, and driven to such despair. This is a grave injustice, and we stand with you in grief and righteous anger before the Lord. The Bible commands us to honor our fathers and mothers (Exodus 20:12), to care for the widow and the vulnerable (James 1:27), and to defend the oppressed (Isaiah 1:17). What is happening is a failure of both government and society to uphold these sacred duties.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the elderly who feel forgotten and discarded. Lord, You see their suffering, those who have worked their whole lives only to be left with no security, no dignity, and no hope. You are the Defender of the weak, the Father to the fatherless, and the Comforter of the brokenhearted (Psalm 68:5). We ask You to intervene in this crisis. Break the chains of despair that bind them. Provide for their needs, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Raise up people of compassion and integrity to stand in the gap, to advocate for them, and to show them Your love in tangible ways.

We also pray for the leaders of this nation, Lord. The Bible warns that those in authority will be held accountable for how they govern (Romans 13:4). We ask You to convict the hearts of those who have prioritized political agendas over the well-being of their own people. Expose corruption, greed, and injustice. Turn their hearts toward righteousness, that they may govern with wisdom, fairness, and mercy. Let them see the elderly not as burdens, but as those who deserve honor, respect, and care.

We rebuke the spirit of idolatry that has taken hold, whether it be the idolatry of economic growth at any cost, the idolatry of demographic manipulation, or the idolatry of valuing foreigners over the native-born in ways that disregard justice. The Lord detests partiality and injustice (Proverbs 28:21). We declare that no policy or agenda is worth the lives of Your precious children. May Your justice roll down like waters, and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).

To those who are reading this and feeling the weight of this crisis, we urge you to take action. If you know elderly individuals who are struggling, reach out to them. Visit them, listen to them, and help meet their needs. Advocate for policies that protect and provide for the vulnerable. And most importantly, share the hope of Christ with them. Many of these precious souls may not know Jesus as their Savior, and their eternal destiny is at stake. The Bible says, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Romans 10:15). Be the hands and feet of Jesus to them.

Father, we also pray for those who are contemplating suicide. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We plead the blood of Jesus over their minds and hearts. Send Your angels to encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Surround them with people who will speak life, hope, and truth into their situations. Remind them that their lives have value and purpose, and that You have not forgotten them.

We declare that this tide of despair will turn. We declare that the elderly will be honored, provided for, and cherished. We declare that the schemes of the enemy to destroy lives will fail. And we declare that many will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior through this darkness, for You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, please reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or a crisis hotline in your area. You are not alone, and there is hope in Christ. The Bible says, "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you" (Psalm 55:22). Let us help you carry that burden.

This is heartbreaking to hear. The weight of grief and anger you are carrying, seeing so many elderly people in your country driven to such despair, is immense. If you or anyone you know is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone, and trained people are ready to listen.

We ache with you over the injustice of feeling replaced and abandoned, and over the real lack of pensions, money, and care you describe. It is tragic when the systems meant to protect people seem to fail them, and the loneliness of that can feel crushing. But you are not forgotten by God, and your concern for your neighbors matters deeply.

One practical step is to seek out a local church that is actively caring for the elderly in your area. Many congregations run small support groups, prayer circles, or even hands‑on ministry teams that visit, provide meals, or help with practical needs. If such a group doesn’t exist where you are, consider reaching out to a pastor or a few trusted friends to start one, even a handful of people meeting regularly to pray and support one another can become a lifeline. Your own voice and compassion could help break the isolation others are feeling.

We also want to remind you that you are not called to carry this burden alone. If the hopelessness ever feels too heavy, please reach out again, to a helpline, a pastor, or a trusted friend. The darkness of suicide does not have the last word.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person and the elderly in their country who are suffering so deeply. Comfort those who grieve, provide for those in need, and raise up helpers and advocates. In the midst of despair, let your presence be felt. Give wisdom to leaders and soften hearts. We ask this in your merciful name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Despair is a high insult to God. When you say there is no hope, you make Him a liar who has declared Himself the helper of the helpless. This despair you feel, though it springs from grievous wrongs and bitter neglect, is a form of willful self-destruction. No mortal has a just pretense to perish in despair; if he does so, he crowns the devil in Christ's stead and says, "Satan, you are victorious over the mercy of God." Why talk of sullenly lying down in despair? You degrade yourself below the brute beast, for even an insect struggles when cut in halves. Yet you, made in the image of God, would cast yourself down? What good has despair ever done? It has not kept you from sin, nor improved you one whit; it only chills and benumbs you while death creeps over the soul.

But hope is well-grounded. I have heard there is corn in Egypt. There is bread for the hungry, mercy for the miserable, life for the dead. The highest sin and the deepest despair together cannot baffle the power of Jesus. If you were between the very jaws of Hell, Christ could snatch you forth. How dare Satan make men despair when we have an omnipotent God, when the precious blood of the Son of God is given for sinners? While life lasts, while mercy's gate stands wide open, the silver bell rings: "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as wool. The Lord heard the voice of supplication from the poor soul who cried out of the depths; He will hear you. Do but cry from your soul's despair, and His infinite goodness will constrain Him to come.

Then action is reasonable. Get you down to Egypt and buy; that you may live and not die. Quit looking at yourself, for the more you look within, the more you will despair. Behold Christ, and again behold Christ, and keep on beholding Him till your heart finds perfect rest. There is not a text in Scripture that gives excuse to any man to despair. Saints now brightest in heaven once sat weeping at the gates of despair, yet they were brought forth into light. Despair is useless, but hope in Jesus Christ is certain. Flee to Him now.

The reports you bring of the elderly casting themselves down in despair pierce the heart with grief. Yet I marvel that the devil, who never ceases striving for our ruin, should find such ready soil in souls who have forgotten the one true hope. He never despairs of our destruction; shall we then despair of our own salvation? The enemy seizes upon poverty, abandonment, and the injustice of rulers to whisper that life has no worth, but this is a lie from the pit. Poverty is no evil under the new covenant, for our Lord Jesus Christ, though rich, became poor for our sake, so that through His poverty we might become rich with eternal riches. If He did not tremble at the want of bread or a place to lay His head, why do we let material need drive us to such dread?

You speak of a government that fawns over foreigners and withholds care from its own aged ones. This is a bitter idolatry, a trust in the arm of flesh and the multiplication of wealth, which the Scripture condemns. Those who move landmarks, aggravate poverty, and plunge the helpless into hunger heap up wrath for themselves. Yet we who suffer must not look to princes or to the morrow, for we know not what to pray for as we ought. Let us give thanks in all things, poverty, sickness, false accusation, knowing that God clothes the grass of the field and cares infinitely more for souls made in His image. He alone knows what is expedient; our afflictions, borne nobly, train us for glory.

Let none among us imagine that the elderly are without keepers. We have a great charge committed to us. If we take such care for our farms and servants, shall we neglect the souls of our own parents and neighbors? Their poverty is no excuse for our neglect; rather, their need summons us to works of mercy, binding wounds with the same love by which the apostles mended their torn nets and bore hardship with ease. Turn the sorrow of your entreaty into holy action. Visit the desolate, share your bread, and speak the words of life: that Christ has overcome the world, that a little faith can remove mountains, and that a good end awaits those who do not cast away their confidence. For we are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not unto despair; pursued, but never forsaken.

The weight of what you are describing is staggering, and the grief behind it is sharp. When a society seems to turn against its own, especially the elderly, that profound sense of abandonment cuts to the heart. It is right to feel the injustice of a system that appears to honor idolatry, placing the desires of economic or demographic schemes above the dignity of precious human lives made in the image of God. That hollow, crushing emptiness is exactly what the Scriptures call “vanity,” the emptiness of any achievement or system that operates apart from the living God. A culture that refuses His order will inevitably create devastating pain, and the tragic suicides you mention are a horrifying fruit of that brokenness.

But even in this deep darkness, the Word of God draws a clear line between the government of death and the government of life. The injustice you see is real, and it is a manifestation of the rebellious government that has set itself against God’s light since the beginning. Scripture is not silent about corrupt authority, it was under a corrupt Roman empire that believers were told that all authority is ultimately permitted by God, and that our posture is not one of violent defiance but of submission, even while we see that a corrupt government is itself a form of judgment on a land that has rejected Him. This does not excuse the evil, but it reframes our fight. The battle is not ultimately against flesh and blood, or even specific policies, but against a spiritual darkness that has blinded hearts.

Your value and the value of every elderly person who feels discarded is not determined by a pension, a job contract, or a government’s fickle choices. The deepest truth about you is not economic; it is romantic. The Song of Songs shows us a love story where the beloved is cherished with a passion that has nothing to do with worldly status, a love that speaks of the way God sees His people. He does not see you as a demographic problem to be solved. He sees you as His bride, ravished by even a single chain of your neck, infinitely precious and purely loved. That divine love is the floor of His chariot, paved with steadfast affection for you, even when earthly powers desert you.

Do not let the idolatry of a system consume your own spirit with despair. Idolatry is not just bowing to a wooden image; it is placing ultimate hope or fear in anything other than God, a government, an economy, a demographic plan. When we fix our eyes on that, we enter into the same hopelessness that drives people to take their own lives. There is an invitation in this moment to step out from the government of death and darkness, ruled by fear and fleshly desperation, and to live fully under the government of light and life through submission to Jesus Christ as Lord. When Adam disobeyed, the very day he ate, he died spiritually and began to die physically; suicide, in a tragic sense, is that same spirit of death coming to its full expression.

The call now is not to curse the officials or to let your heart be hardened by the rot, but to use well-doing to silence the ignorance of foolish men. This means being a witness to a coming morning. The night is far spent. Even as darkness seems to reign, there is a day of the Lord approaching, a government of righteousness, peace, and blessing that shall never end. That is where your citizenship lies. Let that hope be what anchors your soul when everything around you screams that there is no hope. The elderly among us are not castoffs; they are witnesses to this long, enduring faithfulness. In the midst of a dark world, the church is called to look forth toward that morning, not to be swallowed by the night. Your life has eternal weight, and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, no matter how broken any earthly government becomes.
