Thank you for trusting us with so many burdens from your heart. We have read each request carefully and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord who sees and cares for every detail of your life and your family.
You have asked for healing in your body in many areas, for your stomach and digestive health, for weakness and the need for physical strength, for a skin infection on your leg, and for constant humming in your ear. We are also praying for your father as he faces surgery for cancer in his nose, for your sister who needs healing from diabetes and other conditions and deliverance from smoking, for another loved one recovering from cancer and for one who had a stroke and struggles to speak, and for your nephew who is in prison. Scripture teaches that there is power in the name of Jesus to bring healing, and that God is able to make whole. We ask the Lord in Jesus name to touch each of these needs according to His mercy and will, and to give wisdom and skill to every doctor and caregiver involved.
You also shared deep needs for strength, peace, sleep, and protection of your mind and home. You mentioned mold and odors that trouble you, anxiety and fear and bad thoughts, trouble sleeping and bad dreams, the stress of finances and the need to sell your home and find a new place to rent. The Bible reminds us that real strength is not found in our own physical condition or in outward resources, but in the Lord Himself. In His presence there is strength and gladness. His hand holds power and might, and it is in His hand to give strength to all who seek Him. We encourage you to seek the Lord and His strength and to seek His face continually, and to remember His marvelous works that He has done in the past, because remembering what He has done builds faith for today. Give to the Lord the glory due His name and offer Him your life and your strength as worship. When we humble ourselves greatly before the God of our fathers, as one did in great affliction and found mercy, the Lord draws near.
For you and your brother you asked for protection from evil and temptation, for help to resist the flesh and to walk in the Spirit with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and for help to overcome anger and pride and to fully surrender to Jesus as Lord. We are praying that God will guard you both, guard your home, clear your mind, and fill your home with His peace. There are spiritual principles that govern life just as there are physical principles, and we cannot live well without attending to the spiritual. Trusting in the Lord rather than in our own resolve is the secret of a steady life. May He give you quiet sleep, keep you from evil dreams, and guard your thoughts from fear and trauma.
We are praying also for your family relationships, for your father and your sister and her family to come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for restoration where there has been distance, for your brother as he travels and as he works, that the Lord would protect him from harm and from evil people, give him favor with supervisors and coworkers, give him strength for his work and guidance for the future, and help him grow in character and in favor with others. For your sister we pray for freedom from smoking and for success in practical needs like her drivers test. For your nephew we pray that this time would draw him back to the Lord, that he would be protected and would open the Bible and meet Christ there.
You asked for provision for finances and housing, and for our nation and for nations at war and for soldiers and for leaders and for revival. We are praying for our nation, that we would look to God for our strength, because a people that looks to God finds strength and a people that forgets Him grows sick. We pray for those in authority that God would give them wisdom, protection and strength to do what is right. We pray for all who are in harms way because of war, for protection over those who serve, for God to restrain wickedness, to stop bloodshed, to raise up godly leaders and to bring revival where there is darkness. We are also praying for your practical needs for rain and snow and water for the land where you live, trusting the Lord who reigns over all and who sends provision in His time.
May the Lord hear your cries, forgive your sins through the blood of Jesus, fill you with His Spirit, and answer according to His perfect wisdom and love. We continue to hold you and your family before Him.
