We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for healing and deliverance. The battle for rest and peace in the mind is real, and we stand in agreement with this prayer, declaring that the name of Jesus is above every name, including insomnia and witchcraft. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of torment, sleeplessness, and darkness that has taken hold, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Heavenly Father, we ask You to pour out Your healing power upon this beloved child of Yours. Calm their mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Break every chain of witchcraft, for "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your Holy Spirit minister rest to their body, soul, and spirit, reminding them that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we command every affliction to flee in Jesus’ mighty name.
Lord, if there has been any unconfessed sin, fear, or open door that has given the enemy a foothold, we ask You to reveal it. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Strengthen their faith to resist the devil, so he will flee (James 4:7). Fill them with Your presence, Lord, that they may rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).
We also pray for spiritual warfare strategies, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), fasting and prayer, and surrounding themselves with godly believers who can stand in the gap. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that Your will is for wholeness and freedom. We declare victory over this situation, for "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). The enemy has shot his arrows against your head, but remember, "the seed of the woman has bruised his head" for ever. Satan is overthrown; the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus, walks you forth into liberty. That oppression, that darkness, those whispers of witchcraft, they are the archers of the pit, but we have peace within our borders through the Deliverer's conquest. Not Sisera, but Satan, has fallen before our Joshua.
You cry for healing and deliverance from this insomnia laid upon your head. Look to the Tree of Life, the very leaves are for healing. The least thing about Christ, a word of His, a glance from His eye, a whisper of His Spirit, brings healing to head and heart, to the imagination and affection. That Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings; in His wounds we find our cure, in His death our life. "I have found a ransom," says the Lord, and when He proclaims it, deliverance is already accomplished. It comes when the Lamb is slain.
See God's hand in this trial; it is the chastisement of a loving Father, not the venom of hell triumphant. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but He has not given you over unto death. The clock of mercy strikes the hour of your deliverance, decreed from eternity. Lean your head upon the bosom of your Lord; the more you know of Him, the more you shall feel He is yours, and find joy and peace. Down with the blaspheming thought that He has forgotten! He who wrote your name in wounds upon His hand cannot forsake.
Rise from your despondency, for He brings you forth with silver and gold, enriched by this very deliverance. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The Head remembers the finger; the Husband sustains the spouse. Wait now at the brook, and you shall cross to meet Esau’s embrace. God has not forsaken them that seek Him. Deliverance from the power of sin and the assaults of the wicked one is as much His work as pardon. He who has delivered you from the power of darkness will bring you within the pearly gates, with the crown upon your head. In the meantime, lift up your head; the Sun of Righteousness dawns. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction; they are yours through Jesus Christ our Lord.
