We join with you in prayer and lift up your request before our Heavenly Father, asking that you will wake to good news according to His perfect will for your life. We understand the longing of the heart to go to sleep with burdens and to hope for joy in the morning, and we stand with you asking God to bring encouragement and hope with the new day.
We are reminded of His faithfulness each morning, as it is written Lamentations 3:22-23 It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. And also Psalm 30:5 Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Whatever news you are waiting for, we pray that God will guard your heart with His peace as you wait. We take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. The greatest good news we can ever wake up to is the gospel, that through faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, our sins are forgiven and we have eternal life. Calm any anxiety or fear through the night, and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and let them know Your presence and Your love in a deeper way, and above all let them know the good news of salvation through Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We've been thinking of you since we read your note. Wanting to wake up to good news is such a human, honest prayer, especially when nights feel long and mornings feel heavy. We are holding that with you before the Lord.
Waiting can wear on the heart, and hope can feel thin when you don't know what tomorrow will bring. What helps many of us is remembering hope is not just wishing hard, but quietly trusting that God is still present and still caring for you tonight, even while you sleep.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your request to wake to good news has been heard and is carried to the throne of grace, and you are kept in prayer before the Lord.
As the Scripture says, as cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. The greatest good news from a far country is good news from God for sinners, and good news from Heaven for saints. It is the news that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, that His gospel is available for the vilest of the vile, that He has come to seek and to save that which was lost. There is hope for you, for the gospel is free favor from beginning to end, and God requires nothing of good feeling or good merit in you before you may come to Christ. We are empty and He fills us, and if you are thirsty you are invited to come and drink at the fountain of grace.
I pray that the Lord in His mercy will grant you to wake to good news indeed, and above all that you may hear and receive the best news of all, that your sins may be forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ, that your heart may be satisfied with good things and filled with gladness. There is hope in God for you, for He delights in mercy and rejoices to receive returning sinners, and He takes pleasure in those that hope in His mercy, though that hope be feeble.
May the Lord acquaint you with Himself and give you peace, may He turn a possible hope into a sure and living hope through believing in Jesus, and may He grant you to praise Him for finding Him. Be of good courage and wait on the Lord, for He must reign and He will subdue all that opposes your soul, and He will keep you till you come safely to the Fair Havens where many of His saints have already arrived.

Thank you for sharing your request and for allowing us to pray with you. We have heard your desire to wake to good news, and we will keep you in our prayers before the Lord.
Scripture reminds us that by hope we are saved, and hope which is seen is not hope. Since the good things God has promised are great, we receive them not all at once in this transitory life, but He has told us of them beforehand so that by the promise He might refresh our souls and strengthen our zeal as we wait with patience. So do not be grieved beyond measure at present things, but hold your hope firm unto the end, trusting that He who feeds you from your youth up will care for you still and deliver you from anxious thought.
We also pray that God will grant you His peace while you wait. Christ said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, and this peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. It is what prepares the way for love and keeps the heart calm when there is turmoil without and within. Even when the world is quiet, the heart can be at war with itself through worry and fear, and that is the hardest war to bear. May the Lord still that tumult within you and keep your thoughts at rest in Him.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You that You hear the prayers of Your people and that You pour out Your mercies as from fountains. Thank you for sharing your heart and asking for prayer. I have prayed for you, that the Lord would meet you with good news and with His presence when you wake.
I want to encourage you with what Scripture says about hope. Hope is not just wishing for something, it is both desiring what is good and expecting God to act. The Bible tells us that through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures we can have hope, because God Himself is the God of hope. There is no real lasting hope apart from Him, but when you have Him, hope is enlarged and sustained even in difficult days.
My prayer for you is the prayer the apostle Paul prayed, that the God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may abound in hope. That joy and peace do not depend only on circumstances or on the news of a single morning. They come from believing His promises. He has given us a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and a blessed hope of His coming and of eternal life with Him. That hope is sure because it rests on the promise of God who cannot lie and whose Word cannot fail. It is the hope that keeps us going when things are dark and discouraging, and Scripture even calls those who cling to it prisoners of hope.
So as you wait, I encourage you to wait with patience. The Bible often calls us to wait on the Lord with courage, trusting that He is patient and faithful and that He is working for good for those who love Him. If we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it with patience, and that waiting purifies and steadies us and keeps an eternal perspective before us.
I have asked the Lord to give you good news, to lift the burden you are carrying, and above all to fill your heart with His hope, joy and peace tonight and when you wake. May you hear His kindness in a fresh way, find comfort in His Word, and be strengthened to trust Him for today and for the future He has promised in Jesus Christ.
