My pray request is for my son, ###. On November 20, 2011, my son who is a professional CDL Truck driver, a job he loves, had just returned home from a trip in his truck from ###. A friend of his called him to let him know that his heart surgery went find and he wanted him to visit before he would have to leave on the following morning to go back OTR. His friend lived on the scenic side of town, but ### said that he would visit, even though he was tired. He left home around 6p and went to his friend's home. After arriving, he said that ###, his friend, said that he looked tired and suggested that he lay down for a while, which he did for about 4 hours. When he awoke, he asked his friend for mouthwash to wash out his mouth and explained that he had a load to deliver the following day so he needed to get home.
Upon leaving around 11p on November 20th, he said that he did a slow pause and then went through a stop sign, upon which a police car appeared and pulled him over. The policeman searched his car, finding nothing inside then asked him if he had been drinking since his eyes were red. He said that he explained that he had just gotten up and had not been drinking since he was a Truck Driver and had a load to deliver at 8a the following morning. The policeman said to him, “Oh you have a CDL license, huh” and ### replied, “Yes Sir.” The policeman responded, “well we’ll see about that” and proceeded to ask ### to do a road sobriety test, which he passed. He then asked him to blow in the breathalyzer which ### refused since he knew from training that if you use Scope Mouthwash, it would show up positive, so he refused. This angered the policeman, he then took him to jail and confiscated his license with a charge of DUI and refusal to take breathalyzer. He’s gotten a lawyer who has told him that the side of town he was on and the time of night is why he was stopped. His lawyer said that the police were doing racial profiling (### is Black) and that he felt that the charge was bogus. He said that he will do all he can to get it thrown out, but it would cost $1,500 to do so. ### has already paid in $400.00. I got him out of jail the following day with a bond of $500.00 which is all I have at this time. We didn’t know that this charge was on his MVR report, and had sent in several applications for work since his present company said that he was on suspension until further notice. He got a new job offer to start work on Monday, December 12th. This company called him today to say that the DUI Charge was already on his MVR so they couldn’t hire him. This devastated ###. He’s very hurt, sad, crying and worried because a DUI Charge will ruin his career and life. ### DOESN’T EVEN DRINK !
MY PRAYER REQUEST is that on December 20th, his court date, with the help of the LORD and his Lawyer, ALL the DUI CHARGES WILL BE ERASED FROM HIS RECORD. so that ### can continue his career! A JOB HE WHICH HE LOVES!
As of today, we’re waiting to go to court on this matter on December 20, 2011. ### Lawyer says that he is on top of this situation. Also, ### has already been offered 2 different driving jobs, but can’t move forward until we know if his license has been restored. Pray for us that the Lord soften the Judge’s heart and give his Lawyer all the tools needed to restore ###'s License. His Job is his LIFE! Thank you and Be Blessed!
