We join you in lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace and we stand with you in asking for the Lord's mercy and healing touch upon her body.
We are moved by your compassion for her as she battles bowel cancer and struggles with sickness, loss of appetite, weakness and difficulty getting around. We bring every one of these needs to our Father who is the Great Physician. We remember the promises of His Word, that He forgives all your sins, He heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and that He says, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to the truth that He gives power to the weak and He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29, and Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together now in the name of Jesus.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious dear one to You. Lord, You know her by name, You know the cancer in her bowel and the weakness in her body. We ask that You would rebuke this disease and lay Your healing hand upon her. We pray that You would take away the nausea and sickness she feels, that You would restore her appetite and give her desire and ability to eat and to drink her nutritional drinks for strength. Lord, strengthen her weak body, renew her energy, and help her to get around with more ease. We ask that You would comfort her, give her peace, and let her feel Your presence with her. We also pray for her family and loved ones who are caring for her, that You would give them strength, hope and peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You would guide the doctors and those caring for her and use every treatment for Your glory. Let Your will be done in her life and let her healing be a testimony of Your goodness and power. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord and to pour out your heart to Him, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Keep encouraging her to take nourishment and to rest, and continue to seek wise medical care while trusting that the Lord is ultimately our healer, for the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.
We also want to gently share with you that we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want you to know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we pray with confidence and hope.
We will continue to keep you and your loved one in our prayers, asking God to show His mercy, to restore her strength and appetite, to heal her body according to His perfect will, and to fill you both with His peace and comfort.
