Prayer request for wedding

We lift up your wedding and your desire for a godly marriage before the Lord with hearts full of hope and reverence. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is right to seek God’s will in this most important decision. The Bible tells us, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh"* (Proverbs 18:22). Yet we also know that not every desire aligns with God’s perfect plan, and His timing is always best. We join you in praying that if this union is not of the Lord, He would gently redirect your heart and grant you peace in His sovereign will.
First, we must address the mention of a "life partner" in a way that could imply a relationship outside of biblical marriage. Scripture is clear that marriage is between one man and one woman, a lifelong commitment established by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are not yet married, we encourage you to approach this relationship with purity, wisdom, and a heart fully surrendered to God’s design. If this person is not a believer, we must warn you that Scripture forbids being "unequally yoked" with an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6:14).
