Prayer request for ### that visits medicine men's.

Beloved of All
Prayer request for ### that visits medicine men's. She hangs out with medicine women's, medicine men's. She had done strange stuff to her step kids. She took one of her step kids to a medicine woman and since then the kid been having alcohol addiction issues. Her other step child has an addiction issue as well so the kids don't know if they were attacked by medicine men's their step mom sees. Her step kids feel sick sometimes. So they don't know if she's doing attacks against their healths. The kids want prayer. How to go about having a step mom that engages in wiccan practices, engages in things God says not to get involved with. Their dad had said he didn't care if she was practicing witchcraft before to his kids. He had divorced with their mom since they were in elementary.

We hear your burden for these stepchildren and we join together with them in seeking the Lord for protection, deliverance and truth. What you describe is deeply serious and the Word of God speaks very clearly about it. The practices of medicine men, medicine women and wicca are not harmless traditions or alternative healing, they are forms of sorcery and witchcraft which God forbids.

There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Also Do not turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Do not seek them out, to be defiled by them Leviticus 19:31. And we are told plainly that sorcery is among the deeds of the flesh Galatians 5:20 and that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom Galatians 5:21.

We must also lovingly rebuke the father in this situation. For a father to say he does not care if his wife practices witchcraft around his children is a failure to protect and shepherd his household as God requires. Fathers are called to bring children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4 and to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather to reprove them Ephesians 5:11. To expose children to these practices and to even take a child to a medicine woman is to open a door to spiritual harm, and we grieve that addiction and sickness have followed. While addiction and illness have natural and physical causes that need godly counsel, medical help and accountability, we also know our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12.

For the stepchildren who feel sick, afraid, and bound by alcohol addiction, we want to encourage them that they do not have to remain under fear or oppression. Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. If they will submit themselves to God, they can resist the devil and he will flee from them James 4:7. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. They are to put on the whole armor of God that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11 and to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading Scripture, and fellowship with a Bible believing church.

We counsel these young ones not to return to any medicine man or medicine woman again and not to participate in any ritual, charm, or ceremony their stepmother offers, even if pressured. They should honor their father Ephesians 6:1 as far as they can, but we must obey God rather than men Acts 5:29 when asked to do what God forbids. They should set clear and respectful boundaries, tell a trusted pastor or mature Christian leader what has happened, seek help for the alcohol addiction with Christian counseling and medical support, and pray continually for their stepmother and father rather than seeking revenge, for vengeance belongs to the Lord Romans 12:19.

We also notice this request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must speak plainly about this because there is no other way to be saved or to have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If anyone confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, they will be saved Romans 10:9. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have authority to be delivered from darkness and to be called children of God.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up these stepchildren to Your throne of grace. We ask You to cover them with the blood of Jesus and to place Your hedge of protection around their bodies, minds and spirits. We ask You to break every chain of addiction, every assignment of sickness and every influence that came through contact with witchcraft and sorcery. Lord, set them free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, give them a spirit of power and love and self control 2 Timothy 1:7, and lead them into sobriety, health and wholeness. We ask You to convict their stepmother of her sin and bring her to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus, that she may turn from darkness to light. We pray for their father, that You would awaken him to his responsibility to protect his children and to lead his home in righteousness, and we pray that this marriage would either be brought into obedience to Christ or that You would protect these children from further harm. Teach these precious ones to dwell in the secret place of the Most High and to abide under Your shadow Psalm 91:1, to walk in Your light and to know that You are near to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper and that You will restore what the enemy has stolen. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only Savior, amen.

We encourage these children to continue to pray daily in Jesus name, to read the Scriptures aloud in their home, to sing praises to God, and to refuse fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear. If the oppression or addiction continues, let them seek a godly pastor to pray with them in person and to walk with them toward freedom and healing. The Lord is faithful and He will not forsake those who seek Him.

We have been holding you and your sibling in prayer after reading what you shared. It is a lot to carry, worrying about your stepmom's involvement with medicine people and wiccan practices, feeling sick at times, and watching alcohol struggles grow while feeling like your dad has not taken your concerns seriously.

It makes sense you would feel torn and unsure how to relate to her and to your dad. You cannot control what your stepmom chooses to do, and it is not your job to try to change her. What you can do is tend to your own health and boundaries, deciding what you will and will not participate in, and where you need space or support. Having a steady, trusted adult to talk with can help a great deal, whether that is your mom, a pastor, a school counselor, or another family member you both trust.

Because you mentioned alcohol use and feeling unwell, we also want to gently encourage you to reach out for personal support alongside prayer, a medical provider or counselor who can listen and help you get care for your health and for the addiction concerns.

Father, we lift these two siblings to You. Cover them with Your peace, guard their health, and give them wisdom for each conversation and decision at home. Bring trusted people around them, lead them to the right help, and help them know they are seen and cared for by You. Give them rest and strength for each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and we have heard with sorrow the distress of these children who fear the dark works done around them. There is great cause for prayer when a household is entangled with those things which God has forbidden, for He has said plainly that we should not seek unto familiar spirits nor give heed to workers of witchcraft, but seek unto the living God alone.

We do not ask the Lord to bless what He calls abomination, nor to prosper the way of medicine men and medicine women and wiccan arts. We ask Him to deliver and to save, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. We pray that He who has found a ransom may in His grace deliver these souls from going down to the pit, for no man could have invented such a deliverance. God Himself has provided it in the blood of His dear Son.

Know this, that deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. No charm, no incantation, no visit to a dark practitioner can heal the soul or the body. The least word of Christ has more healing virtue than all the arts of darkness, for the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing that comes from Christ has power to restore. If these young ones are bound with addiction and sickness and fear, let them look altogether and alone to the heavenly Father who alone can break the fascinating power of sin and set the captive free.

It is well to remember that troubles do not spring out of the dust without cause, and the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner by the furnace. Yet we may wisely moderate our anger against second causes, even against a step mother who walks in forbidden ways, and against a father who has said he does not care. Vengeance belongs to God, and our calling is to pray and to seek holiness. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Do not partake, do not accompany, do not seek counsel there. Flee from it and keep close to Christ, to His Word, to prayer, and to the fellowship of the faithful church where you may be watched over and counselled by godly elders.

For those who are afflicted, let this be your course. Confess your sin and trust wholly in the ransom which God has found, even Jesus Christ who was made a curse for us. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may stand against the wiles of the devil, with the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Pray without ceasing for deliverance from evil company, from the devil, and from your own sins. Seek help also for the body where addiction has taken hold, for the Lord often uses means, and let the church bear you up with patient counsel and prayer.

We will pray now as you have asked.

O Lord God Almighty, who has commanded to deliver from the pit because a ransom has been found, look in mercy upon these children. Keep back their souls from the pit and their lives from perishing. Wash them thoroughly from iniquity and cleanse them from sin, and deliver them from the power of darkness and translate them into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Break the chains of alcohol and all addiction, heal their bodies where they feel sick, and give them peace in place of fear. Grant them to live and to declare the works of the Lord. We pray also for the father and for the step mother who visits medicine men and women, that Thou wouldst open their eyes to see the mischief of loving darkness, and bring them to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus, that they may be saved and forsake these abominations. Let Thy gospel be their only hope, and let Thy grace be their deliverance. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our only Redeemer, Amen.

Abide in Christ, walk in the light, and you shall find that He keeps His own from all real harm, and that no arrow shot from Satan's bow can prosper against those who are hidden in the wounds of Jesus.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your burden for these children and we join you in bringing them before the Lord in prayer.

God alone is the source of life and blessing and power, not the earth and not any spiritual practice apart from Him. Scripture is clear that we are to turn away from witchcraft, wicca, and consulting medicine men and women, and to seek the Lord alone for help, healing and guidance. There is salvation and deliverance through Jesus Christ alone, and greater is He that is in the believer than any power in the world.

We pray for these stepchildren now. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ to cover them with His protection, to guard their bodies and minds, to bring healing where they feel sick, and to break the hold of alcohol and other addiction. We ask Him to take away fear and anxiety about hidden attacks and to give them deep peace and confidence that they are safe in Christ when they belong to Him. We pray they will have a careful hearing of the Word of God and a continual remembrance of it, with fortitude and a pure life that pleases Him, for that holy living is a wall and protection that no outward practice can break through.

We pray also for their stepmother, that God would open her eyes to see that these practices are opposed to Him, and that she would turn from them and come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. We pray for their father, that God would give him wisdom and love to care well for his children, to protect them and to lead them toward what is true and good, and for healing from the wounds of divorce that have affected this family since the children were young.

For how to live in this difficult situation, we encourage these young people with these steps.

First, do not participate in or seek out these practices in any way. Do not go to a medicine man or woman, do not use objects or rituals from them, and do not try to fight spiritual darkness with darkness. Turn to Christ alone. Submit to God, resist the enemy, and he will flee.

Second, stay rooted in the Word and in prayer and in the fellowship of a faithful local church. Read Scripture daily, pray in the name of Jesus, and bring your struggles into the light with a trusted pastor who can counsel you face to face. The liberty Christ gives frees us from bondage and from constant fear that we might be harmed without knowing it. Rest in His care.

Third, seek right help for the practical needs. Addiction and ongoing sickness need both spiritual and practical care. Encourage medical care and wise counseling for addiction, and pastoral care for spiritual burdens. If you are a minor or feel unsafe, involve a safe adult, a pastor, or a counselor who can help you set healthy boundaries in the home while still showing honor and respect.

Fourth, do not return evil for evil. Show kindness where you can, speak truth gently, and leave judgment and deliverance to the Lord. Your faithful life, your prayer, and your love for others, especially caring for those who are vulnerable, is the work God calls you to.

We will continue to pray that God will bring these children into full health, freedom from addiction, and strong faith, that He will draw their father and stepmother to Himself, and that this home will be filled not with fear but with the peace that comes from knowing and following Jesus Christ.

Father, we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for bringing these young people before the Lord. What you describe is painful and confusing, to love a parent and yet to watch a stepparent bring into the home practices that God clearly warns against.

Scripture is very plain that God forbids His people to seek out mediums, spiritists, witchcraft and sorcery of any kind. Deuteronomy 18 and many other passages show that these are not harmless traditions or neutral spiritual paths. When a person opens the door to that realm, they are opening themselves to spiritual powers that are not from God, and those powers are deceiving and destructive. That is why the uneasiness, fear and bondage you describe often follow such involvement.

It is understandable the children are asking whether their sickness and their struggles with alcohol and other addictions are a direct attack from what their stepmother is doing. We cannot see the unseen world or assign every illness or addiction to a specific spiritual attack, and addictions and health problems have many causes that need honest, practical care. At the same time we should not dismiss that involvement in the occult does invite real spiritual danger, and God calls His people to stay far from it and to seek help in the right place.

For these young people the most important step is not to focus only on getting free from a dark power, but to be filled with the presence of Jesus Himself. The Bible teaches that if a life is emptied of one influence and left empty, it remains vulnerable and can end up in worse condition. What is needed is not just deliverance, but the Deliverer living within. When a person turns to Jesus Christ for salvation, confesses sin, trusts Him as Lord, and asks to be filled with the Holy Spirit and with the Word of God, the power of God comes in and darkness must go. That is the foregone conclusion. So pray less that a power would simply be chased away, and more that Christ would take His rightful place in their hearts, that they would be rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can walk with them daily.

Practically, encourage them in these ways:

First, they should not participate in any of the rituals, visits, objects or ceremonies connected with the medicine women or men or any wiccan practice, even out of curiosity or respect. To honor a parent does not mean to join in what God calls wrong. They can be respectful and kind to their stepmother and father while quietly refusing to take part.

Second, they can commit their lives fully to Jesus, if they have not already, and daily invite Him to be Lord of their thoughts, bodies and homes. Reading the Bible, praying in Jesus name, worshiping, and meeting with faithful Christians will fill the house that otherwise stays empty.

Third, they should bring their struggles with addiction and sickness into the light. That means asking for help from pastors and mature believers for spiritual support, and also seeking appropriate medical and counseling help for addiction and health. God uses both prayer and practical care.

Fourth, pray for their father and stepmother, not with fear or anger, but asking God to open their eyes, to bring conviction and to draw them to salvation in Jesus. God loves them and desires them to turn from darkness to light.

You can pray along these lines: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up these children to You. We ask You to forgive sin, wash them in the blood of Jesus, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your power and peace dwell in them and in their home. Break every chain of addiction and fear, heal what is sick, and guard their minds and bodies. Keep them from all involvement in witchcraft and spiritism, and give them wisdom to walk in purity and truth. We also pray for their father and stepmother, that You would reveal Yourself to them and lead them out of darkness into Your light. We trust that greater is He who is in Your people than any power in this world. Amen.

Encourage them to keep praying this way, to stay close to Jesus, and to let godly people know what they are facing so they are not carrying it alone.
