We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear sister in Christ who has recently received the diagnosis of a schwannoma tumor. Our faith is anchored in the truth that our Lord is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We stand on the promise that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that this promise is for our sister today.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon our sister. Touch her body, Lord, and remove every trace of this tumor. We rebuke this sickness in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). We loose healing, restoration, and wholeness over her life. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround her with Your love and the support of her church family as she walks through this trial.
We also pray for wisdom for her medical team, that You would guide their hands and decisions. Grant them insight and clarity as they care for her, and let every treatment be effective and free from complications. We trust in Your perfect will, Lord, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
To our sister reading this, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Lean not on your own understanding but trust in the Lord with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of lifting up one another in prayer. The Bible tells us to bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). It is a privilege and a responsibility to intercede for our brothers and sisters in Christ, and we do so with joy, knowing that our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16).
Finally, we want to gently remind everyone that our ultimate healing and salvation come through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this has not yet placed their trust in Jesus, we encourage you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He invites all to come to Him for rest and healing.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
