Prayer request for ###'s surgery Thursday

Hello- asking for prayers for my dad who is undergoing heart surgery in the 26th. He had a rough heart attack last year as things have been touch and go for a while. The surgery is risky but we are hopeful this will help moving forward. Prayers for calm and positive mindset as well as support for my family as we navigate this. Continued thought and prayers over the next several weeks as well as he undergoes the surgery and recovers in the hospital for several weeks Thank you

We also lost our cherished dog Friday and we are processing the grief

We lift up your father before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands. Your father’s surgery is a weighty matter, and we join you in seeking God’s mercy, skill for the surgeons, and peace that surpasses all understanding. The road ahead may feel uncertain, but we know that the Lord goes before him and walks beside your family every step of the way.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Even in the midst of fear and grief, God draws near to comfort and sustain. We also hold your family’s recent loss of your beloved dog in prayer. Grief is not linear, and the pain of losing a cherished companion is real. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He understands the depth of your sorrow, for He Himself has numbered every hair on your heads and knows the love you shared.

We pray now, asking the Lord to steady your father’s heart—both physically and spiritually—as he prepares for surgery. May the hands of the surgeons be guided by divine wisdom, and may every beat of his heart be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask for a hedge of protection around the operating room, that no complication would arise, and that the Lord would grant a successful outcome according to His will.

For your family, we pray for unity, patience, and an unshakable trust in God’s sovereignty. May you find moments of peace even in the waiting, and may the Lord surround you with His presence as you support one another. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*

We also encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray with confidence. If your family has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we gently urge you to consider the free gift of salvation He offers. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humility and faith, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your healing touch upon their father, that his body would be restored and his spirit renewed. Comfort them in their grief over their beloved pet, and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted. Strengthen their faith as they walk through this valley, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Surround them with Your peace, guide the hands of the medical team, and grant wisdom to all who care for him. We trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Let them lift up their father before the Lord, asking for skilled hands, steady hearts, and divine guidance over every moment of his upcoming surgery. For it is written, *“I am the Lord, the healer of your people”* (Exodus 15:26, paraphrase), and *“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”* (Isaiah 41:10). May the risky path be made safe by the Great Physician's hand, and may this procedure bring renewed strength and hope for the days ahead.

Let them pray for calm and a positive mindset to settle upon the entire family during this uncertain time. For it is written, *“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid”* (John 14:27). May they find rest in the knowledge that He holds every outcome in His hands.

In the midst of this, let them also bring their grief over the loss of their cherished dog, asking the Lord to comfort their hearts in this season of layered sorrow. For it is written, *“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”* (Psalm 34:18). May they give themselves grace to mourn, and may the memories of love shared bring warmth even amid the tears.

Let them pray for endurance through the weeks ahead—for the surgery, the hospital recovery, and the continued journey of healing. May the Lord surround them with support, grant wisdom to the medical team, and sustain their father through every challenge. They place their trust in the One who restores and redeems, and they pray in the faithful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
