Prayer Request for my Friend ###

Tribe of Judah

Disciple of Prayer
I have been asking for prayers for ###, it breaks my heart to see him fall for someone who is not fully submitted to Christianity. She has taken advantage of his emotions, and vulnerability. She has continuously displayed lots of pride and ### has been blinded by it. He is chasing her instead of chasing God. He isn't going to church on Sundays and prioritizing her instead of his walk with God. The pastor's of the church are also need prayer. The wife is very prideful and not kind. I reached out to her for prayers, and never replied back, but prior she had told me that she was tired of praying for me because She wasn't seeing results. ### is in a toxic prideful church and he needs to leave. He needs courage to walk away from a relationship that is hidden from God and comprising his morality with ###. She is all about money and woman power. I pray in je Christ mighty name, that ### would leave that church and leave her and find a new church or call home, somewhere their is humility and maturity and men fellowship.

We join you in prayer for your friend and we hear the burden and grief you carry for him, for we know how painful it is to watch someone we love be led astray from the Lord by an ungodly relationship and by pride.

We see several biblical concerns here that we must address with love and truth. Scripture is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity, or what communion has light with darkness, 2 Corinthians 6:14. When a believer pursues a relationship with someone who is not fully submitted to Christ, he is not pursuing a godly courtship that leads to marriage between a man and a woman for the glory of God, but a partnership that will pull his heart away from God. You have rightly discerned that he is chasing her instead of chasing God, and the Lord calls us to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33. You also mention that this relationship is hidden and is compromising his morality. We must gently but firmly say that any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication and is sin before God, and we are commanded to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Nothing is hidden from God, for there is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account, Hebrews 4:13. If he is engaging in impurity, he needs to repent and turn away completely.

We also hear your concern that he is forsaking gathering with the church on Sundays to prioritize this woman. We are exhorted not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, Hebrews 10:25. To abandon fellowship for a relationship is a sign that his walk is out of order and that idolatry of the heart has taken place.

You spoke of pride in this woman, in your friend who has been blinded, and in that church leadership. God warns us that pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall, Proverbs 16:18, and that God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble, James 4:6. A love of money and a spirit of woman power that exalts self over God's design for humility and godliness is not from the Lord, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, 1 Timothy 6:10, and true beauty and strength in a woman of God is found in a gentle and quiet spirit. We also grieve with you over the pastor's wife who responded with pride and unkindness and said she was tired of praying for you. That is not the heart of a shepherd. Yet we must guard our own hearts from bitterness and pray for them rather than only speak against them, and ask God to bring humility and repentance to that leadership, for the Lord desires shepherds who feed the flock with humility and kindness.

We pray together now for your friend.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach Your throne. We lift up our dear brother to You and ask that You open his eyes and remove the blindness that pride and infatuation have caused. Lord, convict his heart deeply about this unequal yoke and about any compromise of his morality, and grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Give him courage and strength to walk away from this relationship that is not honoring to You and to flee from fornication and pursue righteousness. Turn his heart back to chasing You with all his heart, soul and mind. Restore his hunger for Your Word and for fellowship, and lead him out of a prideful and toxic environment into a healthy, humble, biblically grounded church where he can be discipled and surrounded by mature men of God who will speak truth and hold him accountable. We pray also for this woman, that You would humble her and draw her to true salvation if she does not know You, and that she would turn from pride and the love of money. We pray for the pastors and the pastor's wife, that You would soften their hearts, remove pride and unkindness, and make them shepherds after Your own heart who pray with endurance and love. Let humility and maturity mark that whole congregation, or make it clear to our brother that he must leave and return home or find a new church where Christ is truly exalted. We ask that You do what is best for his soul and for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to love your friend with truth and grace, to speak the truth in love even when it is hard, and to not grow weary in praying for him. Continue to point him to Jesus and to the joy of walking in purity and obedience. Encourage him toward godly male fellowship and toward a church that preaches the whole counsel of God without pride. And we encourage you to guard your own heart from discouragement when others fail to pray with you, for we know that the Lord hears you and we stand with you now, and He will honor your faithful intercession.

We can hear how much you love ### and how painful it is to watch him drift from God while chasing this relationship. It is especially hard when you have reached out for support and felt dismissed, and when you see a church environment that feels prideful rather than humble.

We are grateful you are standing in the gap for him. You cannot make his decisions for him, and carrying that weight alone will wear you down. Part of loving him well is keeping healthy boundaries, staying honest and caring while letting him own his choices before God. That might look like continuing to pray faithfully, speaking truth kindly when he asks or when there is a natural opening, and not trying to rescue or control the outcome.

A next step that often helps is to stay steadily present in a low pressure way. Keep inviting him into healthy fellowship when opportunities arise, like a men's Bible study or a service at a humble, mature church, but let him decide. It also helps to have one trusted, mature believer you can talk with for your own encouragement so you are not holding this alone.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask You to draw him closer to Yourself, give him clarity and courage to seek what honors You, and lead him to humble fellowship where he can grow. We lift our friend praying too, give them peace, wisdom and strength as they love ### well. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for your friend has been heard, and we join you in bringing him before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart. It is a right and loving concern when you see one who once ran well turning aside to gather the golden apples, chasing another while forgetting to chase after God. There is nothing so ruinous to a man as to be allowed to have his own way while his judgment is not yet ripe to guide him, and when the heart is enticed by pride and affection misplaced, it soon finds a yoke that galls and wearies.

We do not ask the Lord to bless a relationship that is hidden from Him or that compromises purity, for we know that marriage is His gracious ordinance, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy and dwelling together belongs within that holy bond. To be unequally yoked with one who is not submitted to Christ is not a light thing, and the leaven, if left unpurged, will surely spread through the whole life. What is needed is not the blessing of what is amiss, but the mercy that leads to repentance, cleansing, and restoration.

We will pray that the Lord will open your friend's eyes as He opened Daniel's, to have courage undaunted though the world entices, and to keep his window open toward Calvary rather than toward any earthly charm. May the Holy Spirit show him that to take the yoke of Christ is the most delightful necessity, and that His yoke is easy and His burden is light, while every other yoke proves to be bondage. We ask that God would grant him courage to walk away from what entangles him, to turn again to the Father as the prodigal returns home, and to find his rest not in the favor of man but in being much with Christ in private and in public.

We pray also for the church you have mentioned, and for its pastors. Where there is pride, there is need of humility, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. May the Lord work in that congregation a spirit of meekness and truth, and if it be not a place where the Word is faithfully preached and where holiness is pursued, may He guide your friend to a fellowship where there is maturity, humility, and the strengthening companionship of godly men who will help him bear his burden and keep him accountable.

And we will not forget to pray for the young woman herself, that she who is now taken with pride and the love of money and power may yet hear the voice of Him who says, I am married unto you, and who invites all to come and find rest by simple faith in Him. We pray that she may be brought to know Christ as her only hope of salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this dear one who has wandered. Break the bars of every yoke that is not Thine, and reveal Thyself to him as the one who gives rest freely to all who come. Purge out the leaven that would spoil his life, and give him a heart to love Thy Word above all else. Grant him courage to forsake what is not of Thee, and lead him to a home among Thy people where he may be nourished, guarded, and built up in faith. Give wisdom and tenderness to those who love him, that they may speak the truth in love and never cease to intercede. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because our window is open toward the cross of Christ, in whose mighty name we pray, Amen.

Continue, dear soul, to watch and pray, and to tell Jesus all. He who hears in secret will reward openly, and He is able to keep that which is committed unto Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing your friend before the Lord and we hear the burden you carry for him. It is right to grieve when someone you love begins to chase a relationship more than he chases God, and to desire for him a walk that is pure, humble and faithful.

We will pray that God grants him clarity to see where pride and compromise have blinded him, and courage to step away from what is hidden and not honoring to Him. True courage is not harshness or mere boldness of speech, but the willingness to obey God even when it costs, to leave what harms the soul as Abraham left what was familiar in order to follow the Lord, and to return to fellowship and the Word with a whole heart. We pray he will hunger again for gathering with believers on the Lord's Day, for honest fellowship with mature men who can walk with him, and for a church home marked by humility, sound teaching and genuine love where he can grow.

We also pray for you as you intercede. The Lord hears persistent prayer, even when answers seem slow, and He calls us to love one another as members of one body. We ask Him to keep your heart soft, patient and discerning, and to give you wisdom in how to speak the truth in love without taking on what only God can do in your friend's heart.

We will pray too for the pastors and their families you mentioned. We ask God to clothe all of us in humility and kindness, to help every leader shepherd with gentleness and integrity, and to bring conviction where pride has taken root.

Let us pray together. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we ask for mercy for our brother. Draw him back to Yourself. Open his eyes, guard his morality, turn his desires toward holiness, and give him strength to walk away from a relationship and any environment that pulls him from You. Lead him to a healthy, humble fellowship where he can be built up and where marriage, purity and devotion to Christ are honored as You designed them from the beginning. Give him courage to choose what pleases You, and give his friend who is praying peace as she trusts him to Your care. Amen.

Continue to keep praying and to encourage him with Scripture and steady love, pointing him always to Christ who alone saves and restores.
