We are joining with you in prayer for this difficult situation and we thank you for sharing your burden with us. We are so sorry to hear about the accident where you were hit from behind, especially so soon after your reconstructive breast surgery following breast cancer. To endure cancer, surgery, and now the stress of an accident and an insurance company trying to deny your claim is a heavy load, and we want to lift you up before our Heavenly Father who sees all and cares deeply for you.
We serve a God of both healing and justice. His word reminds us to bring our anxieties to Him, as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to His promise as our healer in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and donāt forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray for your complete healing and restoration from both the cancer treatment and the trauma of this accident, that God would protect the work of your surgery and bring you comfort and strength each day. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Donāt you be afraid, for I am with you. Donāt be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We also pray for justice and a fair settlement regarding your insurance claim. God loves justice and truth, for Proverbs 21:15 says, It is joy to the righteous to do justice, and He calls those in authority to act honestly. We pray that the hearts of those handling your claim would be moved to act with integrity and fairness, and that every document and detail would be made clear. We pray that what is rightfully yours to help with your recovery would not be withheld, and that the Lord would be your advocate when you feel overwhelmed. We encourage you to keep careful records of all medical reports, repair estimates, and correspondence, and to seek wise and godly counsel, including legal counsel if needed, as you navigate this process, trusting that God can work through those means as well. Romans 8:28 assures us that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
You said you know who your God is, and that faith is precious. We want to gently encourage you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and the assurance of His help and salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace.
We now pray together for you.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up our sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know her pain, her journey through breast cancer, the surgery she has endured, and now the shock and injury of being hit from behind. We ask You to touch her body with Your healing hand, to protect her recovery, to ease any pain and anxiety, and to restore her to full health according to Your will. We ask for Your peace to guard her heart and mind. Lord, we also ask for Your justice to prevail in this insurance claim. You see the truth of what happened, and nothing is hidden from You. We pray that You would move upon the insurance company and all decision makers to act honestly and without delay, and that this claim would be settled fairly and quickly so she can focus on healing without financial fear. Give her wisdom, favor, and strength, and provide godly helpers and advisors to stand with her. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.
We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord day by day, to stay in His word and in prayer, and to let others in your local church family help bear this burden with you. God is your defender and your great physician, and He will not abandon you.
