PRAYER REQUEST FOR DELIVERANCE

Threydarmond

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my deliverance from sexual perversion: pornography, masturbation, and homosexuality. I came to God at ###, and I have been calling on His name for ### years, but sadly, I haven't been completely free, although I have had experiences that have sustained me and prevented me from giving in completely to this perversion. Sometimes I have thought about suicide, but I know that doesn't solve anything. Thank you, in Christ Jesus.

We hear your cry for deliverance, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your honesty and vulnerability in sharing this struggle are a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit in your life, drawing you closer to the freedom that is found only in Christ. We rejoice that you have called upon the name of the Lord, for there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and set the captive free.

First, we want to affirm that your life has value and purpose in God’s eyes. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Suicidal thoughts are a lie from the pit of hell, and we rebuke them in the name of Jesus. You are not defined by your struggles, but by the blood of Christ that covers you and the righteousness He has imputed to you. The Lord sees your heart and your desire to walk in purity, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

The sins you mentioned—pornography, masturbation, and homosexuality—are indeed perversions of God’s design for sexuality. The Word of God is clear: sexual immorality of any kind, including these, is contrary to His holy standards. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, we are commanded, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Homosexuality is also explicitly condemned in Scripture as unnatural and dishonorable (Romans 1:26-27) and as a sin that, if practiced, will prevent one from inheriting the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

But here is the good news: the same passage in 1 Corinthians 6 that lists these sins also declares, "Such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11). This is not a struggle you are meant to bear alone. The power of sin has been broken at the cross, and the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). You are not powerless—you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).

We must address the root of this bondage. Sexual sin is often a counterfeit for the deep needs God designed to be met in Him—needs for intimacy, acceptance, and identity. The enemy exploits these needs, offering empty substitutes that only leave you feeling more empty and ashamed. But Jesus offers living water that truly satisfies (John 4:14). We encourage you to press into the Lord, seeking His face and allowing Him to fill the voids in your heart. Spend time in worship, prayer, and the Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to renew your mind and transform your desires (Romans 12:2).

Accountability is also crucial in this battle. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." Seek out a trusted, godly brother in Christ—someone mature in the faith—with whom you can be transparent and who will pray for you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Do not isolate yourself, for isolation is the enemy’s playground. The body of Christ is here to support you, and we are commanded to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

We also rebuke the spirit of perversion and addiction that has sought to ensnare you. In the name of Jesus, we command every ungodly thought, desire, and stronghold to be broken off your life. We declare that you are no longer a slave to sin, but a slave to righteousness (Romans 6:18). The blood of Jesus has cleansed you, and His grace is sufficient to empower you to walk in purity. We pray that the Lord would sever every ungodly soul tie, break every generational curse, and restore your mind to wholeness and holiness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts grieved by the bondage that has sought to steal, kill, and destroy in our brother’s life. Yet we rejoice, Lord, because You are greater than any stronghold, and Your power is made perfect in weakness. We thank You for drawing him to Yourself and for the work You have already begun in his life. We ask, Father, that You would complete that work, setting him free from every chain of sexual perversion.

Lord Jesus, we declare that our brother was bought with Your precious blood, and he belongs to You. We renounce every lie of the enemy that has told him he is defined by his struggles or that he is beyond Your grace. We speak life and truth over him: he is a new creation in Christ, the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We break the power of pornography, masturbation, and homosexuality over his life in Your mighty name. We command every ungodly spirit associated with these sins to leave him now and never return.

Holy Spirit, we ask You to fill every void in his heart with Your presence. Where there has been loneliness, let him know the nearness of God. Where there has been shame, let him receive the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus. Where there has been emptiness, let him be filled with the fullness of God. Renew his mind, transform his desires, and align his heart with Yours. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness that surpasses every other desire.

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly accountability and fellowship. Bring men into his life who will sharpen him, pray for him, and walk with him in this journey. Give him the courage to be transparent and the humility to receive help. We pray that You would heal any wounds or traumas that may have contributed to these struggles, and restore him to wholeness in every area of his life.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak victory, freedom, and deliverance over his life. Strengthen him in his inner man, that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Remind him daily that Your grace is sufficient, and that in his weakness, Your power is made perfect.

We thank You, Father, for the freedom that is ours in Christ Jesus. We thank You that our brother is not condemned, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). We thank You for the hope of transformation and the promise of eternal life. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are not a slave to sin, but a son of the Most High God. The battle you are facing is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).

Remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He has not abandoned you, and He will not leave you to fight this battle alone. Keep pressing into Him, keep seeking His face, and keep believing in His power to transform you. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Jesus from the dead, and set captives free is at work in you. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Finally, we urge you to meditate on these scriptures as you continue in this journey:
- "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).
- "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10).
- "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts" (Romans 13:14).
- "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

You are not alone in this. The body of Christ stands with you, and the Lord Himself is your ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Freedom is not just possible—it is your inheritance in Christ. Walk in it.

We're here for you, brother. We've been where you are, and we know that the road to freedom can be a long and winding one. But take heart, for the battle is already won in Christ Jesus. We stand with you in prayer, claiming the victory that is already yours.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God with all your heart. He sees you, He knows your struggles, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. Remember, it's not by your strength or willpower that you'll overcome, but by the power of the Holy Spirit living in you.

We also want to remind you that you're not alone in this. We're here to support you, to pray for you, and to hold you accountable. Let's fight this battle together, as a family in Christ.

Keep pressing on, brother. Freedom is within reach, and we believe in you. You can do this, in Christ who strengthens you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
