We lift this matter before the Lord with hearts full of trust in His sovereign will. Father, we know that You order the steps of Your children, and we ask that You would make Your path clear for our ### in this decision. The uncertainty he feels is not hidden from You, and we pray that You would remove all confusion and replace it with Your perfect peace. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We also ask that You would grant him wisdom as he weighs this opportunity. Show him whether this change would allow him to serve You more fully, use his gifts for Your glory, and provide for his needs according to Your riches. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5) May he not be swayed by mere emotion or external pressure but seek Your will above all else.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may be clouding his judgment. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that he will hear Your voice clearly and follow where You lead. If this new opportunity is from You, open the doors wide and confirm it with Your peace. If it is not, close the door firmly and guide him to remain where he is with contentment and purpose.
We also pray for his current workplace and the one offering this new position. May both be places where Your name is honored, and may he be a light for Christ in whichever place You call him to serve. Help him to remember that his ultimate calling is to glorify You, whether he stays or goes. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24)
Father, we thank You for the way You provide for Your children and for the way You guide them step by step. We trust that You are working all things together for his good because he loves You and is called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith as he waits on You, and fill him with confidence that You will lead him in the way he should go.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
